Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Season 1 Launches with New Maps, Modes, Weapons, and More

Exciting Updates for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Season 1

Only a month has passed since the debut of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, and already, developers at Treyarch and Activision have rolled out a significant content update that promises to enhance the gaming experience.

New Maps Enhance Gameplay

Joining the lineup are two new medium-sized maps, Hideout and Extraction, both designed for 6v6 gameplay. Additionally, the small-sized map Heirloom supports both 6v6 and 2v2 modes. In the upcoming mid-season update for Season 1, players can also expect the return of Hacienda from Black Ops 4 along with a fresh map called Racket.

Introducing New Game Modes

This update brings new gameplay mechanics, including the Ransack mode, where players will gather gold bars and compete to secure them in their stash while thwarting the opposing team. Additionally, the classic Prop Hunt returns, offering players a lighthearted experience as they take on either the role of a Hunter or a Prop.

The update introduces an impressive array of seven new weapons, featuring:

  • War C Assault Rifle
  • Saug Submachine Gun
  • Maelstrom Shotgun
  • AMR Mod 4 Sniper Rifle
  • Sirin 9mm folding secondary weapon
  • Power Drill
  • Cleaver (melee finisher weapon)

Enhancements for Zombies Mode

Zombies enthusiasts will need to anticipate the mid-season update for the introduction of the new Citadelle des Morts map. However, players can currently enjoy a new Directed Mode which allows them to focus on primary objectives and narrative elements without excessive interruptions from zombies or bosses.

Ranked Multiplayer Launches Soon

The highly anticipated ranked competitive multiplayer playlist is set to launch on November 21. In an effort to maintain a fair gaming environment, the Ricochet Anti-Cheat team has announced measures to tackle disruptive behaviors, such as account boosting through AFK play and using VPNs to access less active regions. To qualify for ranked matches, players must first achieve victories in at least 50 standard matches.
