Exciting New Content Coming to Call of Duty: Black Ops 6

Treyarch is poised to unleash a wealth of new content just a few weeks following the launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. Players who own the game or subscribe to Game Pass can look forward to an impressive array of updates throughout Season 1, including six new multiplayer maps, updated modes, ranked play, a fresh Zombies experience, and seven newly introduced weapons.

New Maps and Game Modes

At the launch of Season 1 on November 14, gamers can dive into three standard six-on-six maps: Hideout, Heirloom, and Extraction. Mid-season updates will bring the additions of Hacienda and Racket. Players can also anticipate the return of the popular Prop Hunt and a new mode called Ransack, which focuses on gold looting, all available at launch.

Mid-Season Innovations

In addition to the initial offerings, Treyarch has plans for further enhancements during the mid-season update. Players can expect new perks—Shadow and Shrapnel Radar—alongside the introduction of a Scorestreak known as the Hand Cannon.

Ranked Play and Skill Progression

The highly anticipated ranked play feature will finally debut with the new season, although players must achieve at least 50 wins in standard matchmaking to unlock it. Importantly, victories prior to Season 1 will contribute towards this requirement.

Treyarch emphasizes, “The core tenets of Ranked Play remain the same: You’re here to play competitive Multiplayer matches using settings and features aligned with the Call of Duty League.”The ranked system will include divisions ranging from Bronze to Top 250, allowing players to enhance their Skill Rating (SR) through wins in the ranked playlists. Additional features such as map and mode vetoing, as well as a forfeit option for matches deemed unwinnable, are also set to be introduced.

Zombies Experience

While Zombies enthusiasts must wait for the mid-season update for a new map, they can look forward to playing the **Directed Mode** in the existing maps, **Liberty Falls** and **Terminus**. This mode will guide players through available objectives, enriching their experience with a more structured narrative.

A teaser for the upcoming Zombies map has been unveiled, featuring familiar characters—Weaver, Maya, Carver, and Grey—who will venture to the ominously named Citadelle des Morts (Citadel of the Dead) for an exciting new undead adventure.
