Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Updates: Addressing Bugs Ahead of Seasonal Launch

As players gear up for the first seasonal update of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, set to debut in a few weeks, developer Treyarch is proactively rolling out significant bug fixes. The recent patch focuses on resolving critical issues such as the infamous black screen players encountered, the removal of a certain map from the Infected pool, and various progression-related glitches.

Key Fixes Implemented

One of the more distressing issues—players getting stuck on a black screen upon entering public or private matches—is now effectively addressed. Treyarch has confirmed that this problem has been rectified across both Multiplayer and Zombies modes. Furthermore, enhancements have been made to ensure that the DLSS and DLAA upscaling options function seamlessly for Nvidia users when selected from the graphics settings menu.

Gameplay Mechanics and Adjustments

In addition to the core fixes, several gameplay mechanics have seen significant adjustments. Notably, the damage output for the Slugs attachment on shotguns has been corrected. Moreover, the Free-For-All rankings will now accurately reflect the number of eliminations rather than relying on the cumulative score as previously employed. Another key fix involves resolving a glitch that left players in spectator mode after completing the main quest in Zombies’ Liberty Falls.
