System Requirements for Bungie’s Marathon Revealed
As expected with the announcement of a release date and the commencement of pre-orders, Bungie has officially updated the system requirements for the upcoming game Marathon. This information is now available on the store page on Steam.
The exciting news is that most PCs released within the last six to nine years should comfortably handle the game. The minimum graphics card specifications include NVIDIA’s GeForce GTX 1050 Ti, which debuted in October 2016, or AMD’s Radeon RX 5500 XT, released in December 2019. Additionally, Intel’s ARC A580, a newer entry having launched in October 2023, represents Intel’s later efforts to penetrate the GPU market.
Bungie’s goal with Marathon seems clear: to ensure the game is accessible on a wide range of computer systems, thus broadening the player base for this extraction shooter.

Possibility for Nintendo Switch 2 Port
One of the most intriguing aspects of the Marathon system requirements is the potential for a port to the Nintendo Switch 2. The specifications suggest that Nintendo’s upcoming hybrid console should have the capability to run the game, particularly since it supports NVIDIA DLSS, unlike the GTX 1050 Ti.
In a recent interview with Famitsu, Bungie Game Director Joe Ziegler addressed this possibility following the announcement of the Nintendo Switch 2 in April 2025. He stated:
At the moment, we don’t have any plans to add any other compatible hardware, but we will consider doing so in the future.
