Bungie to add 100 more Vault spaces in Destiny 2 The Final Shape

As the weeks pass, Destiny 2’s latest expansion, The Final Shape, draws closer. Bungie has been hard at work implementing numerous changes and revamping key elements of the game in order to elevate the expansion above previous updates. As a result, one of the exciting additions to the expansion will be an increase of 100 in Vault space for all players.

Amidst a flurry of other announcements, including the highly-anticipated return of The Recluse and The Mountaintop, confirmations of multiple perks, and more, the unveiling of additional Vault spaces was also made. These increased slots hold significant importance as they encourage players to continue progressing and farming for the best versions of the upcoming “Brave”weapons.

Destiny 2’s Vault Space to Expand by 100 in Upcoming Expansion “The Final Shape”

Please note that The Final Shape expansion will bring an increase in Vault slots. Therefore, players will need to carefully manage their 600-slot Vault, including all their weapons and armor pieces, until the release of Destiny 2 Into the Light. However, once the expansion is implemented on June 4, 2024, the total number of Vault slots will be raised from 600 to 700.

Bungie made the following statement in regards to the confirmation:

“You should all go out and farm with impunity to go ahead and get the rolls you want ultimately because, with the arrival of The Final Shape, we will be adding 100 more Vault slots. So, go out there, grab the rolls, 27 Edge Transits and hold on to them.”

To access the footage of the confirmation, individuals can watch the Developer’s livestream VOD and navigate to the timestamp at approximately 25 minutes and 30 seconds.

It should be noted that The Final Shape will offer the opportunity to enhance the perks of all Brave weapons featured in Into the Light, such as The Recluse and The Mountaintop.

Therefore, the newly added slots to the Vault will enable players to store multiple copies of a single weapon, as there is a possibility that a player may desire a flawless weapon for both Destiny 2 PvP and PvE gameplay.
