A Reddit user recently unveiled a video that disclosed the upcoming release date for Marathon on the Xbox Store. In response, Bungie has officially announced that the highly anticipated extraction shooter will be accessible on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S, featuring comprehensive cross-play and cross-save functionalities. The game is set to launch on March 5, 2026.

This announcement was made public through Marathon’s social media channels, along with a trailer that mirrored the earlier leaked video. This comes after a series of gameplay clips emerged from multiple closed-beta tests organized by Bungie, highlighting a pattern of leaks, including those accompanied by non-disclosure agreements (NDAs).Notably, this leak follows a recent in-depth presentation from Bungie, showcasing the game’s seven distinct Runner Shells, which function as player classes.

Details on Collector’s Edition and Gameplay Features

Among the intriguing aspects of the leaked video was its abrupt end, just before detailing a collector’s edition of the game. The collector’s bundle includes a 1/6 scale statue of the Thief Runner Shell, a collectible miniature WEAVEworm, an embroidered patch, postcards, and all digital rewards included in the deluxe edition.

Furthermore, a blog post on Bungie’s official website revealed exciting cast details for the voices behind the Runner Shells and other characters in the game’s universe, Tau Ceti IV. This star-studded voice cast features notable talents from various popular titles, including Ben Starr from Final Fantasy XVI and Roger Clark from Red Dead Redemption 2.

The launch will also see the introduction of additional voices as the game evolves, but the base cast includes a robust ensemble of voice actors such as Krizia Bajos, Samantha Béart, and Neil Newbon, among others.
