This remarkable achievement ignited a wave of excitement among their devoted fandom, known as ARMYs. For those unfamiliar, the iconic group has launched nine studio albums, seven compilation albums, and six extended plays, maintaining their powerful presence in both the domestic and international music scenes.
As reported by Sports Kyunghyang, BTS achieved over 10 million albums sold in just five and a half years—the fastest among all Korean artists who debuted post-2000. The announcement of their latest milestone, surpassing 40.2 million album sales, quickly spread on social platforms. The anticipation and joy were palpable when one Twitter user exclaimed:
“Unrivaled icons. They will outshine everyone in the entertainment sector.”
Many ARMYs celebrated how BTS continues to exert a significant influence in the entertainment realm even following a two-year break. One ardent fan stated:

About BTS
This legendary group consists of seven talented members: Kim Seok-jin, Min Yoongi, j-hope, Kim Namjoon, Park Jimin, Kim Taehyung, and Jeon Jungkook. They were established in 2010 and made their debut under BigHit Entertainment in 2013 with their first album, 2 Cool 4 Skool. Their second Korean studio album, Wings, was released in 2016 and quickly reached a million sales within the country.

Recently, both Jin and j-hope completed their military service, being discharged on June 12 and October 17, 2024, respectively. Reports suggest that the group is set to regroup in 2025 once their service concludes.
