BTS’s Kim Taehyung, also known as V, has achieved a significant milestone as his music video for FRI(END)S has been nominated for Best Pop Video at the 2024 UK Music Video Awards. On September 25, 2024, the nomination list was released, highlighting Kim Taehyung’s latest digital single, FRI(END)S, and its music video.

The R&B soul track, performed in English, was launched on March 15, 2024, across all major music streaming platforms. His music video is competing against other notable works, including METTE’s BET, Camila Cabello featuring Playboi Carti’s I LUV IT, Miki Matsubara for Mayonaka No Door – Stay With Me, Olivia Rodrigo’s Obsessed, and BLACKPINK’s Lisa with ROCKSTAR.

Directed by British photographer Samuel Bradley, the FRI(END)S music video features actress Ruby Sear from The Gentlemen. It artistically portrays various days in a man’s life, attracting considerable online attention and praise for its engaging storyline, with over 49 million views on YouTube.

In the FRI(END)S music video, Kim Taehyung grapples with feelings of discontent in a world filled with happy couples, culminating in a tragic accident. The latter half of the video presents his life alongside Ruby Sear as they navigate through the chaos as a couple.
