Jungkook of BTS has been honored as the “Best Dance Challenge Star of ASEA 2025,”a distinction announced on October 15, 2024, through Naver. He earned this title following a fan poll conducted on the global community platform ‘Podoal,’ where fans voted for their favorite dance challenge stars.

This accolade celebrates K-pop idols who actively engage in dance challenges on social media, especially on platforms like TikTok. Jungkook’s recognition is a result of his extensive participation in various dance challenges with different artists, highlighting his diverse performance abilities.

Jungkook claims ASEA’s “Best Dance”title and multiple MAMA Award nominations

The K-pop sensation Jungkook has been officially recognized as the “Top Dance Challenge Star of ASEA”(Association of South East Asia) for 2025, reflecting the significant impact he has on social media dance trends.

From September 30 to October 8, 2024, he dominated the poll titled “Who is ASEA 2025’s Best Dance Challenge Star?”With fantastic support from his fans, he garnered an impressive 32.583 million votes, decisively landing in first place. EXO’s Baekhyun followed as the runner-up with 10.661 million votes, while ASTRO’s Cha Eun-woo secured third with 8.069 million votes.

Jungkook’s ascent to the top is largely attributed to his exceptional dance skills, repeatedly showcased through various challenges on his personal TikTok account, covering a range of styles and genres.

A defining moment in his dance challenge journey was the viral success of his Smoke challenge video, which attracted immense attention last year. As of October, this video has amassed over 100 million views on TikTok.

Moreover, he has shown remarkable flexibility in adapting to various dance styles by performing routines from popular choreographers and fellow K-pop groups. He notably participated in challenges for LE SSERAFIM’s Perfect Night and NewJeans’ Ditto.
