On October 9, 2024, South Korean news outlet Star News announced that Kim Seok-jin of BTS has maintained his reign at the top of the “MY1PICK K-pop Individual Rankings” for an impressive nine months, from January through September 2024. The Grammy-nominated artist secured the number one position for 32 consecutive weeks, amassing an outstanding total of 7,221,170 hearts during the week of September 30 to October 6.
In September 2024 alone, the singer-songwriter behind “Epiphany” garnered a staggering 25,273,220 hearts, further solidifying his place at the top of the chart. He dominated the ‘K-POP Individual Monthly Ranking’ from January to September 2024, achieving first place in the ‘Monthly Chart K-POP (Solo)’ category for five weeks straight during the April to August window.
In addition to his chart-topping success, the BTS artist ranked first in the My One Pick ‘Theme Voting’ across several categories, including:

Kim Seok-jin, the eldest member of the globally-renowned K-pop group BTS, has stepped back into the spotlight following his discharge from mandatory military service in June 2024. He made history as the first Korean artist to carry the Olympic Flame on July 15, 2024, as one of the revered torchbearers for the Paris Olympics.
Amid social media buzz about his solo album, Jin confirmed his plans during an interview with W KOREA, revealing his engagement in both the songwriting and production processes for the upcoming release.
Following the success of his previous solo hit, “The Astronaut,” which launched just before his enlistment, Jin teased that his debut solo album is anticipated for release by the end of 2024.
The artist has also resumed his involvement in Korean variety shows, including his own series, RUN JIN, along with appearances in MBC’s Half-Star Hotel in Lost Island and Netflix’s Kian’s Bizarre B&b.
