On Saturday, September 28, BTS member Jimin’s solo track “WHO”was named the 2024 (RED) Song of the Summer. Jimin’s hit single first made its mark on (RED)’s list of the top 32 songs of the summer.

This marks the third consecutive year that (RED) has selected a Song of the Summer. According to (RED), the significance of this title lies in music being a universal language. It captures the essence of global spirit and pop culture, establishing it as an annual highlight.

On September 21, OSEN, a South Korean media outlet, reported that Jimin’s “WHO”held its place on the UK Official Singles chart for nine consecutive weeks, climbing to position #50 and advancing two spots since its debut. As of this writing, Jimin’s track is ranked at #40 on the chart.

Furthermore, the K-pop idol’s single has been maintaining its presence on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart for the eighth consecutive week as of September 17, 2024, reaching #8 on the Top 10 chart, which features Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars’ latest release, “Die With A Smile.”

Jimin’s album “MUSE”was released on July 19, 2024, by BigHit Music. The album is available in multiple formats: CD, QR, download, and streaming.

Currently, BTS’ Jimin is serving his mandatory military duty, with an anticipated discharge date in June 2025. As it stands, Kim Seokjin, known by his stage name Jin, is the only member of BTS who has completed his military service.
