On October 13, 2024, Jimin from BTS celebrated his 29th birthday, a significant milestone that he acknowledged while serving in the military since December 2023. Although he couldn’t physically be with his fans, he took to Weverse—a platform for idols to connect with their supporters—to express his heartfelt thanks for the countless birthday wishes he received.
Born in 1995, the K-pop sensation shared multiple messages in which he cheerfully engaged with his fans, noting the long period since their last interaction. He reflected on the swift arrival of his birthday, pondering the fleeting nature of time, and remarked that while it often felt like it sped by, it seemed to crawl when looking toward the future. He shared his thoughts:
“It’s already my birthday after getting settled in But I think time went by fast and I think I’m walking slowly, tooㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ It’s fast when you turn around and slow when you look ahead.”
Jimin vowed to reciprocate the affection and support he has received, asking fans to remain patient until his return. He ended his messages by conveying deep affection for ARMY and reaffirming his commitment to return soon.

“How about ARMYs? What sort of days are we all spending? I think waiting for us might serve as a guiding light. I’m a bit worried about that, but I hope you’re all focusing on joyous moments. That’s what I hope for you all, lol.”
Reassuring his supporters about his welfare, Jimin informed them that he was doing well in the military, surrounded by positive influences, while keeping up with his training and personal fitness.
He further encouraged his fans not to fret over him, expressing immense gratitude for the birthday greetings he had received, even amidst his military service. The heartfelt note, shared on Weverse, included:
