BTS’ Jimin Art Pieces by South Korean Illustrator Lee.K to be Showcased at Focus Art Fair London

On September 27, 2024, the acclaimed South Korean illustrator Lee K announced via his Instagram account that he would showcase art pieces inspired by BTS’ Jimin at the upcoming Focus Art Fair London, which is set to occur from October 10 to 13, 2024, at the Saatchi Gallery in London.

The illustrator posted an image of himself positioned in front of several of his art pieces, which prominently included illustrations of BTS’ Jimin.

In his Instagram caption, Lee K revealed that he will be participating in Focus Art Fair London with 80 drawings, stating:

“I’m participating in Focus London this time with 80 drawings that have inspired me from 2017 to now. Most of the work is going to fill one wall with original paintings that have not been published yet. I’m always looking for ideas or inspiration in my past works.”

According to Lee K, the art pieces he will present at the Focus Art Fair London, including those of BTS’ Jimin, have been integral to his journey, inspiration, and motivation.

These works have served to enlighten and remind him of his artistic direction. He expressed his challenges in self-expression and wished for visitors to perceive his past works through the upcoming exhibition. He added:

“They are the biggest material, inspiration, and motivation in my journey; they enlighten me and awaken me with direction. It’s hard to put into words, see my portraits from the past through this exhibition. Encourage me on my working journey. Thank You.”

Following this announcement, fans voiced their enthusiasm about seeing BTS’ Jimin’s illustration at the Focus Art Fair London. Many fans remarked that Jimin is a continual source of inspiration and a muse for artists, with numerous comments expressing their desire to attend the fair.

In other news, BTS’ Jimin launched his second solo album, titled Muse, which features the title track WHO, on July 19, 2024, under BigHit Music. The album comprises seven tracks including `Rebirth (Intro), Interlude: Showtime, Smeraldo Garden Marching Band (featuring Loco), Slow Dance (featuring Sofia Carson), Be Mine, Who, and Closer Than This.

Meanwhile, he featured in the South Korean travel variety show Are You Sure?! alongside fellow BTS member Jungkook. The show, which aired eight episodes showcasing their adventures in the United States, Japan, and Jeju Island, South Korea, is available for streaming on Disney+ and concluded on September 19, 2024.

BTS’ Jimin commenced his mandatory military service on December 12, 2023, alongside Jungkook. After completing five weeks of basic military training, he has been assigned to the 5th Infantry Division of the South Korean Army, with an expected discharge date in June 2025.
