BTS j-hope’s Post-Military Fashion Plans: Fan Theories on Collaborations with Ji Yong-kim & Pharrell Williams
On September 28, BTS’ j-hope shared a series of images on his official Instagram account alongside the renowned fashion designer Ji Yong-kim. This latest update on j-hope’s Instagram arrived shortly after he previously posted images on September 11 featuring singer and LV creative director Pharrell Williams.
Currently serving his mandatory military duty, j-hope ignited excitement and speculation among fans with these recent posts regarding his post-military endeavors. Fans on X began theorizing about what j-hope might plan next. One user even commented:
“What if his 6 month discharge plan also has something to do with Fashion?”
Online, feedback from the BTS community showed a variety of reactions. Some speculated he was gearing up for a fashion project, while others anticipated a world tour was in the works.
“Can we talk about this outfit?! Jung Hoseok?! Also what’s with all the meetings with fashion designers and graphic designers? What are you planning?” a fan wrote.
“He’s coming to slay and we’re probably getting a world tour from him,” another fan suggested.

Admiration for BTS’ j-hope’s fashion in the new photos led some fans to believe he might be launching a clothing line or even a dance academy.

BTS’ j-hope’s discharge from military service is scheduled for October 17
BTS’ j-hope began his 18-month military service on April 18, 2023. He shared an Instagram story on July 9, 2024, marking the 100-day countdown to his discharge with the words “D-100.”His mandatory military service is set to conclude on October 17, 2024.
Jin was the first BTS member to complete his military duty in June 2024, and now j-hope is set to follow.
On September 17, 2024, BTS’ j-hope posted a heartfelt message along with a photo of himself in uniform on the Korean platform Weverse, where he was counting down the days until his return. In this message, j-hope expressed:
“One month, that’s right just 30 days! Time originally only felt cruel but now I have started to grow fond of it that now it feels affectionate. I organized my stuff and I have handed out the items that I used well to my successors.”
In related news, on September 22, 2024, BTS’ j-hope attended IU’s final encore concert for her HEREH World Tour at the Seoul World Cup Stadium, joined by his bandmate Kim Taehyung, who is also currently serving in the military.
