What’s next for Merab Dvalishvili after his most recent fight?
Merab Dvalishvili is anticipated to take on current UFC bantamweight champion Sean O’Malley sometime in the coming year.
The training video showcases ‘The Machine’ performing the same slam move that he often uses in the cage against his opponents. Dvalishvili’s most recent fight was at UFC 298 last month, where he faced former two-weight champion Henry Cejudo.
The match was anticipated to determine the next contender for the bantamweight title, and it was clear that Dvalishvili had the upper hand. He easily controlled ‘Triple C’ throughout the third and final round. After a 15-minute bout, the Georgian secured a unanimous decision win.
After his win, Dvalishvili expressed his desire to challenge ‘Sugar’ for the bantamweight championship title. Initially, O’Malley had his sights set on a fight in Spain with Ilia Topuria. However, the champion has now changed his mind and announced that he will be facing Dvalishvili for his next fight.
Currently, there is no set date or event for the bantamweight title fight. However, Dvalisvhili is wasting no time in promoting their upcoming match by creating humorous videos aimed at the bantamweight champion. The bout is scheduled to take place later this year.
