Brewing Love with Kim Se-jeong and Lee Jong-won: Everything You Need to Know About Release Date, Airtime, Plot, Cast, and Teaser

ENA’s highly anticipated K-drama Brewing Love (Korean title: 취하는 로맨스), featuring Kim Se-jeong and Lee Jong-won, is set to be one of the standout releases of the year, premiering on November 4. This new romantic comedy is generating considerable excitement thanks to a captivating storyline that guarantees a mix of light-hearted humor and playful romantic tension.

Several teasers have been released prior to the show’s debut, presenting the leading pair in a charming and affectionate atmosphere. On October 2, 2024, the latest teaser posters were unveiled, showcasing close-ups of Kim Se-jeong as Chae Yong-ju and Lee Jong-won as Yun Min-ju. One poster even displays Min-ju giving Yong-ju a piggyback ride against a sunlit background.

In addition to the teaser posters, the production team released the first teaser on the same day, highlighting the phrase:

“I think I’m already drunk.”

The teaser features the couple engaging in a fun game where they take turns filling a glass with beer. The atmosphere becomes more playful when Min-ju briefly touches Yong-ju’s hand, accompanied by a cheeky wink from her, while the title cards encourage viewers to ‘Pull up the excitement level.’ The teaser concludes with their silhouettes bending towards the glass to take a simultaneous sip.

Brewing Love will premiere its first episode on ENA on Monday, November 4, at 10 PM KST, with new episodes airing every Monday and Tuesday. You can also watch it on Genie TV and the Genie TV mobile app.

Brewing Love: Full Cast, Plot, Characters, and More

Directed by Park Seon-ho, known for his successful works like Business Proposal (2022) and Suspicious Partner (2017), Brewing Love features a screenplay by rookie writer Lee Jeong-shin.

Studio S, celebrated for shows such as Do You Like Brahms? (2020) and Cheer Up (2022), is at the helm of producing Brewing Love.

The cast features a strong lineup, including Kim Se-jeong (Business Proposal, 2022) and Lee Jong-won (Knight Flower, 2024), as well as Shin Do-hyun (Doom at Your Service, 2021) and Baek Sung-chul (Tell Me That You Love Me, 2023).

Additionally, notable actors such as Baek Hyun-joo (Welcome to Samdal-ri, 2023), Park Jee-a (Our Blues, 2022), Jang Hyuk-jin (Good Partner, 2024), and Jang Won-young (Black Out, 2024) will also be part of the series, with a special guest appearance by Seo Eun-sol (Doona!, 2023).

Described by ENA as “a thrilling and alcohol-infused romance,”Brewing Love tells the story of Chae Yong-ju (Kim Se-jeong), a former military special forces member with both physical prowess and a vibrant personality, adept at concealing her feelings.

As a top salesperson at a liquor company, she has earned the nickname ‘Sales King.’ Facing the potential closure of her company, she embarks on a mission to sell a new beer to Yun Min-ju (Lee Jong-won), the brewmaster and CEO.

Min-ju is attuned to the emotions of others and has been leading a quiet life in a rural area, which is upended by Yong-ju’s entry. Competing with Yong-ju is Bang A-reum (Shin Do-hyun), the planning team manager vying for Min-ju’s brewery. Chae Yong-ju is supported by her free-spirited friend Oh Chan-hwi (Baek Sung-chul).

Viewers can anticipate an engaging opposites-attract story between the lead characters. According to The Korea Economic Daily, the production team shared:

“The journey of these two youths, who are polar opposites in every aspect, falling in love is thrilling. Get ready for a unique romantic comedy highlighted by the delightful chemistry of Kim Se-jeong and Lee Jong-won.”

The casting of Kim Se-jeong was under discussion as early as March of this year, while Lee Jong-won’s role was confirmed on April 5. Recent snippets from the full cast and crew’s script reading were shared on ENA’s official social media accounts.
