Breaking down the transition of all Bloodline members since WrestleMania 39
With WrestleMania 40 only a few days away, fans are eagerly anticipating the event. Many of The Bloodline members are currently involved in intense rivalries and storylines. However, with the exception of a potential team-up between The Rock and Roman Reigns, Jimmy and Jey Uso are scheduled to face each other in a singles match, in order to resolve their ongoing conflicts.
Despite his association with Roman Reigns, Paul Heyman has still managed to receive a Hall of Fame induction this year. As we reflect on their united front and portrayal as a cohesive wrestling family, it is worth examining the remarkable journey The Bloodline has taken since WrestleMania 39.
#4. Solo Sikoa’s Journey to Becoming the Next ‘Tribal Heir’ at WrestleMania 40
During his time in NXT, Solo Sikoa was known for frequently causing shock and surprise with his actions. However, upon moving to the main roster, he shifted his focus to making a powerful impact through his actions instead of relying on words.
Known as The Enforcer of The Bloodline, the 31-year-old has not only instilled fear in his opponents but also within his own family. During this week’s episode of RAW, Sikoa accepted a challenge that was originally intended for The Rock, but was instead directed towards himself when Seth Rollins expressed interest in facing The Final Boss.
Since his debut on the main roster in 2022, Sikoa has consistently been viewed as a member of the Bloodline, fulfilling their orders and carrying out their less savory tasks. Although his gimmick underwent a change almost two years later, it is inevitable that he will eventually embrace his role as Tribal Heir and potentially challenge The Tribal Chief and The Final Boss.
Despite not being listed on the match card for WrestleMania 39, he played a crucial part in the main event featuring Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes.
#3. Jimmy Uso’s Journey to Establishing His Unique Identity
Despite the strong dependence on each other for promos and in-ring performances, Jimmy and Jey Uso’s separation provided them with valuable opportunities to discover and define their individual personalities.
Jey Uso’s catchphrase ‘yeet’ was a hit with fans, and his brother Jimmy Uso quickly adopted the phrase ‘no yeet’ in a humorous fashion. Jimmy’s comedic performances and delivery of promos have gradually won over fans, who are eager to see him break away from The Bloodline and forge his own journey. While a potential heel turn and facing off against his brother may shape his future, it remains to be seen where he will ultimately end up.
Similarly to his brother, Jimmy Uso has made significant progress as a solo wrestler in WWE. One year ago, they joined forces and were defeated by Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens on Night 1 of WrestleMania 39, resulting in the loss of their Undisputed Tag Team Titles.
#2. Roman Reigns Holds the Record for Most Days as WWE Universal Champion
In 2023, The Bloodline had a significant year as Roman Reigns continued his title reign and reached the milestone of 1300 days as champion. The Usos made a crucial decision to turn on the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion, but eventually Jimmy Uso remained with the group while his brother joined the RAW brand.
Despite having a part-time schedule, Reigns made few title defenses following WrestleMania 39 and returned with a more serious demeanor. With the help of Paul Heyman, he closely monitored the actions of Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa, staying informed every step of the way.
Last year, Reigns defended his title against Cody Rhodes but was aided by the interference of Solo Sikoa and The Usos, allowing him to keep the championship. Now, a year later, a highly anticipated rematch has been scheduled with a heightened storyline and the exciting addition of The Rock.
Last year, he met Cody Rhodes for the very first time in a WrestleMania main event, and their ongoing story will continue this weekend.
#1. Jey Uso solidified his spot as a Main Event player
Despite being a member of the Bloodline, Jey Uso has undergone the most significant transformation in his career. The 38-year-old has emerged from the shadow of Roman Reigns and has gained a loyal following as a singles competitor.
Despite having been a part of WWE for 14 years, Jey has only participated in a few individual matches. However, following the intense conflict between The Usos and Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa last year, Jey finally reached his limit and decided to leave the family stable.
After moving to RAW, Jey Uso achieved success by teaming up with Cody Rhodes and winning the Tag Title. This allowed him to establish his own identity without relying on his family’s reputation. While some on the red brand doubted his redemption journey, Jey Uso persevered and is now determined to earn his first singles championship.
