Braun Strowman breaks silence to provide injury update one week before WrestleMania 11 months after last match
Despite being known as a formidable Monster Among Men, Braun Strowman’s absence from the ring has caused concern among his fans. However, the former Universal Champion recently broke his social media silence to give an update on his injury.
Strowman has been inactive since May 1, 2023. With 11 months already passed, the star’s absence is approaching a year. As WrestleMania XL approaches, fans are eagerly anticipating his return, though the specifics of WWE’s plans for him remain unclear.
Despite his strong presence in the wrestling world, The Monster Among Men was forced to take a hiatus due to a neck injury that required him to undergo level-one fusion surgery on his C4 and C5 vertebrae in June of last year. Although he did make an appearance in Bray Wyatt’s tribute show, he was unable to compete for obvious reasons.
Recently, the star has been keeping fans informed about his recovery. Just recently, Braun Strowman shared a positive update with fans on social media.
“Just a little update cause it’s been a min. Very happy where I am right now sitting over 350lbs and in the teens in #BodyFat % at 40 years old with two spinal surgeries in the last 9 years two elbow surgeries plus all the bumps and bangs along the way!!!!!”

Despite the recent positive updates, fans are eagerly anticipating Braun Strowman’s comeback to WWE. The giant’s absence has been deeply felt on television.
Prior to his temporary departure, Strowman was partnered with Ricochet in a tag team. However, it remains uncertain how he will be utilized by creative upon his comeback.
