
Borderlands 4 Now Available for Pre-Order: Pricing and Editions Announced
The highly anticipated Borderlands 4, set to launch later this year across PC and consoles, is officially open for pre-orders as of today. This announcement brings an exciting confirmation regarding the game’s pricing, marking a significant moment for fans of the franchise.
Pricing Structure Revealed
In a recent press release, 2K and Gearbox Software outlined that the Standard Edition of Borderlands 4 will be available for purchase in the United States for $69.99 on platforms including PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Initially, there were concerns raised by Gearbox’s Randy Pitchford about a potential price hike to $80 for launch, but the recently disclosed price has alleviated those worries.
Deluxe and Super Deluxe Editions Unveiled
In addition to the Standard Edition pricing, 2K and Gearbox Software detailed the offerings of the Deluxe and Super Deluxe Editions, priced at $99.99 and $129.99 respectively. The Deluxe Edition features an extensive Bounty Pack Bundle, which contains:
- Four post-launch DLC packs with new areas, missions, and bosses
- Four Vault Cards that introduce unique challenges and rewards
- A selection of new gear and weapons
- Four new vehicles and cosmetics for the Vault Hunters
- The exclusive Firehawk’s Fury Weapon Skin
On the other hand, the Super Deluxe Edition enhances the experience further with the inclusion of the Vault Hunter Pack, which consists of:
- Two new Story Packs, each introducing a new Vault Hunter along with side missions
- Two additional map regions
- New gear and weaponry, along with Vault Hunter and ECHO-4 cosmetics
Launch Date and Availability
Borderlands 4 is slated for release on September 12th on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S. Notably, the game will also be available via the NVIDIA GeForce NOW cloud gaming service from launch day, offering an alternative way for players to engage with this eagerly awaited title.
