The vibrant world of Kairos is brimming with Vaults, true to the spirit of the Borderlands franchise. However, players are tasked with the challenge of locating various Vault Key Fragments throughout Borderlands 4. These fragments are essential for accessing the Vaults and conquering the formidable creatures that guard them.
In particular, Carcadia Burn features three Vault Key Fragments hidden amidst its rugged terrain. Once you collect all of them, you will unlock the Vault Challenge. But beware — finding these fragments can be a time-consuming endeavor as they are well-guarded and easily overlooked.
Hull’s Handbasket Vault Key Fragment Location
The first Vault Key Fragment is situated near Hull’s Handbasket, located in the northern reaches of Carcadia Burn within a zone called the Ruined Sumplands.
As you progress through the main campaign in Carcadia Burn, you will naturally traverse this area while heading toward The Gunkworks.
Upon arrival at Hull’s Handbasket, investigate the vicinity for stone pillars near the water to the northeast of the camp. You will find the Vault Key Fragment perched atop one of these pillars, just waiting to be claimed.
The Yawning Yard Vault Key Fragment Location
Your next Vault Key Fragment can be discovered in the southern part of Carcadia Burn, specifically near a place called The Yawning Yard, located in the Lopside section.
From The Yawning Yard’s landmark, head north along the road towards the Makeshift Chalet Safehouse. You should notice a building resembling a gas station adjacent to the roadway.
Utilize your grappling hook to ascend to the top of the gas station, where you will find a dining table equipped with the Vault Key Fragment right at its center.
Be on guard, as numerous enemies may appear in this area. Consider eliminating them before making your move to retrieve the Vault Key Fragment.
Wreck of the Last Great Hope Vault Key Fragment Location
The last Vault Key Fragment is hidden within the Wreck of the Last Great Hope, found on the western side of Carcadia Burn, specifically in an area known as Tonnage Peel.
Once you arrive at the wreck site, locate the southern tip of the structure to find an entrance leading into the buried portion of the ship. Venture inside and search for a vent.
Employ your grappling hook to detach the vent cover, then drop down through it. You will land in a cave where the Vault Key Fragment is waiting to be discovered.
Arch of Radix Location in Carcadia Burn
The Vault located in Carcadia Burn is known as The Arch of Radix, reminiscent of the Vault called the Arch of Inceptus found in the Fadefields.
To find this vault, head to the Rustical Hurl Silo situated in the Grindstone of the Worthy area of Carcadia Burn, then continue northward. The vault entrance will be southwest of Crumblehall and northeast of the Stopflow Bowels.
Upon reaching this location, the vault lock will activate, allowing you to insert the collected key fragments and enter the vault to face the challenges that await within.
