Boosting Character Proficiency in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero: A Complete Guide
Dragon Ball Sparking Zero boasts an impressive lineup of more than 180 characters, providing gamers a vast array of choices to enhance their skills. This title introduces numerous mechanics related to progression and combat. However, certain elements remain inadequately explained, particularly the concept of a character’s Proficiency.
What exactly is character Proficiency, and how can players improve it in the game? What advantages does enhancing it bring? This guide aims to clarify these points regarding Dragon Ball Sparking Zero.
Understanding Character Proficiency in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero and Its Improvement
Proficiency serves as a mastery indicator in the game, reflecting the amount of time players dedicate to specific characters. After completing a battle, an illustrated gauge with seven stars appears. Players earn a level 1 Proficiency star upon completing a level with a character for the first time, and continued usage of that character will gradually increase their Proficiency over time.
Although this system does not affect gameplay directly, it allows players to monitor which heroes and villains they have spent significant time playing. Each character possesses unique move sets and transformations. Yet, maxing out a character’s Proficiency does not yield tangible rewards; instead, it merely serves as a statistic for tracking usage frequency.
That being said, players can still obtain certain rewards based on their Proficiency levels by checking the Challenges tab. Fans of the Budokai Tenkaichi series aiming to become proficient with a multitude of their favorite characters may find the process a bit daunting due to the extensive character roster in the game. However, there are methods to simultaneously enhance the Proficiency of multiple characters, with a maximum of five characters being improved at once.
The simplest method to accomplish this entails participating in Custom Battles with a five-character team facing AI opponents or engaging friends in Online or Local Battles. Interestingly, even if players do not actively use a specific character during the match, as long as the character remains on the team, they will earn Proficiency points.
The game is set to be released on October 11, 2024, for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S platforms.
