For those looking to compare various items, you’ll encounter a helpful comparison chart highlighting the key specifications of leading products relevant to your search. No longer do you need to engage in laborious typing or endless clicking—the power of conversation streamlines the process dramatically.
Gemini and AI Mode utilize the Shopping Graph, a comprehensive repository containing data from over 50 billion product listings, with a remarkable two billion updated every hour. This ensures you access the most current information available.
Another notable feature allows Google to facilitate your shopping transactions, including making purchases and contacting local stores on your behalf, pending your confirmation. Just say the word, and you’re set!
Communicate Your Needs Precisely
To leverage this feature, simply engage AI Mode through Google Search or the Gemini app and articulate your desires as specifically as possible. You might say something like, I’m searching for a whimsical Christmas sweater adorned with cats and unicorns, ideal for an ugly Christmas sweater party. Feel free to include additional details such as size and color preferences.
Though I’m using AI Mode in Chrome on a desktop for broader visibility, you can also tap into these Google AI shopping upgrades through the Google app or the Gemini app for a more streamlined holiday shopping experience.

If you’re uncertain about what exactly you want, Google can provide you with a comparison chart to help weigh your options. As an example, I utilized the Gemini app to identify suitable foundation products for my skin type by providing descriptive criteria, which resulted in an informative chart featuring several choices along with their key attributes.
This allows you to refine your request further, leading to personalized shoppable listings.

While some of the recent upgrades might seem incremental, the ability for Gemini to contact local stores for price and availability inquiries presents a significant convenience. This remarkable feature leverages agentic AI, designed to undertake tasks autonomously, making shopping easier than ever.
Although still in the rollout phase, this functionality has shown to be effective for various categories, including toys, electronics, and health and beauty products. During my attempt to inquire about local toy availability, this feature was unfortunately not yet accessible for my specific needs.
For a hands-on experience, ask Gemini or Google AI Mode to search for a particular item in your vicinity and ensure you include your location.
Look for the Call Store option beneath the desired store, and answer the follow-up questions to guide Gemini in making the appropriate inquiries.
You’ll subsequently receive an email or text detailing results, which may include pricing, stock status, and any available discounts. The versatility of the Shopping Graph allows for price comparisons with other local retailers.
Enable Google to Track Prices and Facilitate Purchases
While there are numerous price tracking services available—often limited to Amazon—managing them all can be cumbersome. Google AI shopping simplifies this by monitoring product prices on your behalf.
To begin tracking, use either voice commands or text input through the Google app, Gemini app, or AI Mode in Google Search. Search for your desired product, select the matching product card, and click Track price.
Afterward, establish your price criteria; Google will alert you as soon as the item meets your specifications and inform you where it’s accessible. You can either finalize the purchase yourself or choose the Buy for me option to initiate the transaction.
It’s important to note that agentic checkout is gradually becoming available across various retailers, though it currently works best with major companies that accept Google Pay.
Rest assured, Google will not complete any transactions without your explicit consent, saving you from navigating lengthy checkout procedures alone. You’ll receive a confirmation email once your purchase is finalized.
