Book Reveals Elon Musk Describes Diddy as “A Good Friend” with Frequent Text Conversations
Following Diddy’s arrest on September 16, 2024, numerous rumors and news stories have emerged about the rapper’s associates. According to a report by Page Six on October 4, 2024, X owner Elon Musk boasted about his friendship with the “Last Night”rapper during a conversation with Revolt CEO Detavio Samuels. This information was highlighted in the book ‘Character Limit: How Elon Musk Destroyed Twitter’ by Kate Cogner and Ryan Mac.
In his dialogue about Diddy with Detavio Samuels, Elon Musk reportedly stated:
“I don’t know if you know this, but Puff is an investor in Twitter. You know, he’s a good friend of mine. We text a lot.”
Revolt, which was founded by Diddy, features interactions between Samuels and Musk regarding the increasing instances of racism on X. During their discussion, Musk highlighted his relationship with the rapper.
Elon Musk Questions Awareness of Diddy’s Charges
At a recent press conference on October 1, 2024, prominent Texas attorney Tony Buzbee announced that he would represent 120 individuals who have filed complaints against Diddy.
Buzbee provided details about the lawsuits, indicating that 25 of the claimants are minors and that one incident allegedly involved a nine-year-old child. He emphasized that all claims have undergone rigorous corroboration and vetting processes.
The situation was reported by The Daily Mail, and an X user shared the article’s headline on October 2, 2024. Musk retweeted this post, posing the question:
“How many people in music & entertainment knew about this?”
Musk’s tweet has sparked speculation regarding his awareness of Diddy’s alleged misdeeds, with internet users questioning whether Musk himself knew about the rapper’s questionable actions.
Additionally, Page Six reported that there are photographs of both the “I Need A Girl”rapper and Musk attending the same events, including their joint attendance at Dave Chappelle’s Netflix Is a Joke Festival in May 2022.
Moreover, Diddy was acknowledged as one of the investors in Elon Musk’s X when Musk acquired the platform for $44 billion. Reports indicate that the rapper invested $10 million in the Twitter acquisition, which was part of a list of 100 shareholders linked to Musk during his 2022 takeover.
This disclosure came to light following a lawsuit filed by former Twitter employees who accused Musk of breaching their arbitration agreements.
Numerous outlets, including PEOPLE, have attempted to contact Elon Musk for his comments regarding his relationship with the rapper; however, Musk has not yet made a public statement.
It is important to note that Diddy has been charged with s*x trafficking, racketeering conspiracy, and interstate transportation for prostitution by a grand jury. He is currently being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, awaiting trial, and has pleaded not guilty to all charges.
