Bones Hyland takes jibe at Taylor Swift’s boyfriend for deleting post on Jesus

The joke about Jesus made by NFL star and pop singer Taylor Swift’s boyfriend Travis Kelce on X in 2010 was not well-received by Bones Hyland. Despite Kelce’s Easter greetings on Twitter, his joke referencing the death of Jesus Christ was met with disapproval from some.

“Happy easter to all!!! #shoutout to Jesus for taking one for the team…. haha.”

Despite Kelce deleting his post due to facing significant backlash, social media users were able to keep a record of it. X user Dom Lucre shared the deleted tweet from the defending Super Bowl champion, prompting Hyland to take a jab at Kelce.

“Smh corny,” Hyland tweeted.

Despite being a seasoned player, Kelce has been involved in multiple controversies throughout his career, spanning from his college football days to his current NFL career. One notable incident occurred in 2014 when he made an obscene hand gesture during a game against the Denver Broncos. Additionally, during his time at the University of Cincinnati, Kelce tested positive for marijuana, leading to a one-year suspension after his redshirt freshman season.

On his “New Heights”podcast, Kelce revealed to his brother, Jason Kelce, that when he first started on X, he used his account as a diary and posted without any seriousness. However, Kelce’s past tweets have been the subject of controversy, such as when he referred to cheerleaders as “ugly”on Twitter and called Clippers cheerleaders “shitty girls.”

Bones Hyland, currently in his fourth year in the NBA, is a member of the LA Clippers and practices the Christian faith.

Despite his efforts, Kelce continues to attract a large amount of attention from both media and fans across various industries, including music and sports. As a result, it is challenging for him to avoid the constant spotlight and attention that surrounds him.

Bones Hyland’s Comedic Take on the In-Season Tournament

The introduction of the In-Season Tournament in the NBA during the 2023-24 season was met with little enthusiasm from both fans and players. What was even more surprising was the confusion among players regarding the new concept.

Despite its confusing nature, the incorporation of In-Season Tournament games into regular-season games was particularly noteworthy to many players. Among them, Bones Hyland had the best response to this development.

In November, following a workout session, Hyland was asked if the In-Season Tournament brought any extra excitement for him. He responded with confusion.

“I am not even gonna lie,”Hyland said. “I don’t even know what’s going on. … I don’t even know how it works. I don’t know anything honestly. I am just looking at the schedule. I see on the schedule sheet, like, a trophy next to one of the games. … I feel like (the) trophy is supposed to be in July. … I am just trying to win the games. That’s all.”

Maybe there were other players who were unsure of how the In-Season Tournament would operate. Despite this, the knockout rounds of the tournament still attracted a significant amount of fans.

The atmosphere during the In-Season Tournament resembled that of the NBA postseason, with the added incentive of a $500,000 prize intensifying the competition. In the end, LeBron James and the Lakers emerged victorious, defeating the Indiana Pacers in the final.
