Paradox Interactive Responds to Fan Feedback on Bloodlines 2
In a notable turnaround, Paradox Interactive has officially acknowledged its earlier misstep regarding Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2. At Gamescom 2025, the company revealed a significant change to its pricing structure, now promising that all playable vampire clans will be part of the base game. Previously, fans were dismayed to learn that the Toreador and Lasombra clans would only be accessible through the Premium Edition or via a separate DLC priced at $21.99.
Executive Statement Highlights Community Engagement
Marco Behrmann, the Executive Vice President of White Wolf and the Executive Producer for Bloodlines 2, expressed gratitude towards the community for their candid feedback. In his statement, he affirmed:
Thanks to our community for the frank feedback on Bloodlines 2 and the Premium Edition. That feedback made it clear: Lasombra and Toreador belong in the base game, so that is what we are doing. We’d also like to thank The Chinese Room for their quick turnaround on the concepts for the post-launch Story Packs. We’re constantly impressed by their creativity and skill in weaving enticing narrative threads that expand on the main story in Bloodlines 2.
Details on the Premium Edition and Future DLCs
The newly refined Premium Edition will now include more than just the previously announced Santa Monica Memories cosmetic pack, paying homage to the classic features of the original game. Players can look forward to two upcoming story DLCs:
- Loose Cannon: Set to release in Q2 2026, this DLC will explore the gritty narrative through the eyes of Brujah Sheriff Benny. Premium Edition holders will also receive a Benny-inspired outfit for the character Phyre. This expansion will be available for individual purchase at $14.99/£12.99/€14.99.
- The Flower & the Flame: Launching in Q3 2026, this DLC follows the illustrious journey of Toreador Primogen Ysabella as she endeavors to create her dark masterpiece. Those who purchase this story pack will unlock a Ysabella-themed outfit for Phyre as well, with a price tag of $14.99/£12.99/€14.99.
The complete Expansion Pass can be obtained separately starting October 21, 2025, for $34.99/£28.99/€34.99.
Physical Premium Edition Offers Exclusive Collectibles
Fans will also have the option to purchase a physical Premium Edition for $89.99/£74.99/€89.99. Produced in collaboration with PLAION, this collector’s edition features the Bloodlines Nostalgia Jukebox as a pre-order bonus, alongside the Expansion Pass, five character cards, a journal, and an elegantly designed Steelbook case—all presented in a high-quality box.
