Bloodline member makes bold claim about Roman Reigns ahead of WrestleMania XL

Paul Heyman, a member of the Bloodline, has made a bold statement about Roman Reigns leading up to WrestleMania XL.

The Tribal Chief is known as one of the most accomplished superstars in the long-standing history of The Stamford-based company. The Undisputed WWE Universal Champion’s sole defeat in a one-on-one match by pinfall occurred in 2019 against Baron Corbin. Since then, the Head of the Table has emerged victorious against nearly every top superstar on the roster.

In a recent interview with Sports Illustrated’s Justin Barrasso, Paul Heyman discussed Roman Reigns and had high praise for the Bloodline leader. The Wiseman also shared his thoughts on why he views the former Shield member as exceptionally talented.

“Roman Reigns is the most innovative, transformative, disruptive superstar in the history of pro wrestling/sports entertainment. The reason why I can accurately make that statement is because Roman Reigns employs two tenant mantras of show business. One, he reads the room. Two, he knows his audience,”he said.

The 58-year-old asserted that Reigns is a versatile wrestler who would excel in any era. He also praised the leader of his stable for elevating the wrestling promotion to unprecedented levels.

“That’s why he would fit into any era–whether it’s in the 70’s against Sammartino, the 80’s against Hulk Hogan, the 90’s in the Dangerous Alliance, the Attitude Era against Stone Cold and The Rock and DX, the John Cena era of The Doctor of Thugonomics, or now in the tenure being enjoyed by Roman Reigns, in his own era he created, when he lifted the whole industry out of the pandemic and into unfathomable heights that no one could have imagined or dreamt of back in August of 2020.”[H/T: Sports Illustrated]

Roman Reigns Set to Dominate at WrestleMania XL

Despite facing criticism for his infrequent television appearances and title defenses, the Tribal Chief has shown improved consistency in his appearances since the start of the year.

Furthermore, Reigns has been confirmed to have a dual role at The Grandest Stage of Them All. His highly-anticipated rematch against Cody Rhodes from WrestleMania 39 is set to occur on the second night.

On the first night, he will join forces with The Rock to face off against Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins in a tag team match. If The Tribal Chief and The Final Boss emerge victorious, the title match for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship will be a ‘Bloodline Rules’ match.

In the event that The American Nightmare and The Visionary win, The Bloodline will not be permitted to interfere in their individual title matches on Night Two of WrestleMania.
