Blizzard Entertainment has unveiled its highly anticipated Warcraft 30th Anniversary World Tour, which will consist of six conventions set to take place internationally. Starting from February 22 and concluding on May 10, fans will have a chance to secure free tickets for these exclusive gatherings.
In a strategic shift for 2024, Blizzard chose to forgo BlizzCon, opting instead to engage with fans at a variety of events, including its debut at Gamescom. Moreover, the company has launched its first digital Warcraft Direct presentation, unveiling a wealth of content for titles including World of Warcraft, Hearthstone, Warcraft Rumble, and classic Warcraft RTS games.
Looking ahead to 2025, Blizzard surprises fans once again with the announcement of the Warcraft 30th Anniversary World Tour. This series of conventions celebrates significant milestones within the franchise, such as the 20th anniversary of World of Warcraft, the 10th anniversary of Hearthstone, and the first anniversary of Warcraft Rumble. The inaugural event kicks off in London on February 22 and continues through various international locations, culminating in Boston on May 10 during PAX East.

While specific details regarding the content and structure of the conventions have yet to be released, Blizzard has indicated that participants can expect engaging live entertainment, interactive experiences, and chances to interact with beloved game developers. Unlike traditional events such as BlizzCon or Warcraft Direct that focus on major game announcements, the World Tour aims to foster a more personal and memorable fan experience.
Currently, tickets for these events are not available for purchase, and Blizzard has hinted that they may be offered free of charge with very limited availability. Fans interested in attending should pay close attention to their regional Warcraft channels for further instructions on how to gain access. This intimate setting promises a unique and engaging atmosphere conducive for forging unforgettable memories.
As for the future of BlizzCon, its status remains uncertain for this year, either in physical form or virtually. According to the roadmap for World of Warcraft, a BlizzCon in late summer or early autumn would make an ideal forum to unveil significant content from the forthcoming Midnight expansion, including much-anticipated features such as player housing. Although Blizzard chose not to host a BlizzCon in 2024, there is the possibility that this could signal a shift toward a biannual convention model akin to Final Fantasy 14’s Fan Festival. Regardless of the convention landscape, securing a ticket for the Warcraft World Tour is likely to be an exceptional opportunity for fans.
