On October 31, 2024, Rosé of BLACKPINK and the renowned American musician Bruno Mars clinched the prestigious Double Crown at M Countdown, thanks to their collaborative hit, APT. This dynamic duo topped the popular South Korean music program during the final week of October, outperforming the emerging group aespa.
A notable release, APT, was unveiled by BLACKPINK’s Rosé on October 18, 2024, accompanied by an engaging music video produced under The Black Labels and Atlantic Records. This marked Rosé’s first solo single in three years, and it was particularly significant as it was her first solo release since parting ways with YG Entertainment and Interscope Records in 2023.
The track features contributions from several songwriters, including BLACKPINK’s Rosé herself, alongside Amy Allen, Christopher Brody Brown, Henry Walter, Nicholas Chinn, and others. The composition involved a talented team, including Omer Fedi, Theron Thomas, Philip Lawrence, Bruno Mars, and additional artists.
