Recent reports suggest that Black Clover is approaching its final arc. Fans can look forward to two new chapters this month, coinciding with the release of Jump GIGA on January 10.
This series has experienced a remarkable journey. Following the debut of its anime adaptation, it quickly became a significant hit within Shonen Jump. However, it has faced multiple hiatuses, ultimately resulting in its transfer from Shonen Jump to Jump GIGA, a quarterly publication that provides more flexibility in its release schedule.
Looking ahead, the anticipated chapter is scheduled for publication in April 2025, marking a pivotal moment in the storyline as it is projected to cover the “climax of the Kingdom’s decisive battle.”

While the focus appears to be on the series’ concluding battle, creator Yuuki Tabata may still have additional narrative arcs planned. The term “climax”typically signifies the concluding events in a manga, and many fans believe the series should ideally conclude within a few chapters. This “climax”could potentially be followed by one or two additional chapters exploring the fates of key characters.
Transition from Shonen Jump to Jump GIGA
The transition of Black Clover to Jump GIGA caught many fans off guard, but it also provided a sense of relief amid ongoing hiatuses. Despite the absence of official commentary, it became evident that Tabata was facing challenges, possibly including health issues, that complicated the weekly production of the manga.
Consequently, the editorial team opted to move the acclaimed title to Jump GIGA, transitioning the series to a more manageable quarterly release schedule.
Current Status of the Anime Adaptation
The popular Black Clover anime concluded in March 2021, leaving fans eagerly anticipating a return from Studio Pierrot to complete the storyline. Unfortunately, no official announcements have been made regarding a revival, which is surprising given the series’ popularity.
Moreover, Black Clover is not the only project facing such uncertainties within Studio Pierrot. A special series marking the 20th anniversary of the Naruto anime was also slated to air in 2023 but has been indefinitely delayed. It appears that the studio is prioritizing other projects, possibly due to the complexities encountered in adapting Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War.
Current chapters of Black Clover are freely accessible via Manga Plus and Shonen Jump services, providing fans an opportunity to stay up-to-date with the unfolding story.
