In the latest episode of Big Brother Season 26 that aired on Thursday, September 26, two houseguests faced elimination, with Leah Peters’ eviction coming as a shock, especially since she was closely allied with Makensy Manbeck. Initially, Makensy, who was the Head of Household, nominated Kimo Apaka and Angela Murray. However, after securing the Power of Veto, she replaced Kimo with Leah, influenced by Chelsie’s belief that Leah was scheming against her and Makensy.
In an exclusive interview with US Weekly on September 27, 2024, Leah discussed her eviction, her friendship with Makensy, and her feelings towards Quinn Martin. As fans are aware, Leah revealed her crush on Martin during the September 12 episode. Commenting on her connection with Martin, Leah mentioned she was “willing to keep an open mind,” stating:
“I’m willing to keep an open mind [and] see where things go. But overall, I would like to keep him in my life as long as possible, because he and his relationship mean a lot to me.”

Leah expressed that she missed Quinn following his eviction. When asked whether fans could anticipate a potential showmance in the jury house, Leah admitted she was “really had no idea,”but reassured that they would “always be very close”to one another. She further shared:
“I definitely missed him since he’s been gone. I think that he’s just a phenomenal person.”
Fans may recall Quinn’s encouraging response to Leah’s victory in the veto competition, motivating her to stay optimistic in the game and complimenting her as a kind-hearted and humorous person. Quinn described Leah as a “sensational”individual.
During the interview, Leah also reflected on Makensy’s decision that led to her eviction. She emphasized that she never intended to target Makensy and that the surrounding rumors ultimately influenced her choices. Leah elaborated:
“I was never considering putting MJ up. I would never have risked our relationship and I honestly wanted to protect her and keep her in the game.”
Leah questioned why Chelsie wasn’t seen as a significant threat. She expressed concern that Chelsie could dominate the game if not evicted soon. Leah admitted she regretted not targeting Chelsie while she was Head of Household, pondering whether it was the appropriate time. If Chelsie remained, Leah feared she could have been eliminated even sooner.
Leah explained:
“She knows Big Brother like the back of her hand, and I think that whoever isn’t targeting her is playing for second place. I don’t know why everyone is not targeting Chelsie. I think she is such a threat in the game. I do think that people need to keep their eyes open and consider her [as] an option [for eviction] unless they would like to lose the game.”
