The casting website for Big Brother has reopened, offering potential contestants the opportunity to apply for a role in this iconic show that first aired in 2000.

This platform provides all the essential guidelines on the application process as well as criteria for eligibility. Notably, the victor of the most recent season took home a staggering $750,000, a significant incentive for aspirants.

Steps to Apply for Big Brother

The official site, bigbrothercasting.tv, outlines four straightforward steps for those interested in joining the show. The initial step encourages candidates to view a YouTube video featuring casting director Jesse Tennenbaum, who shares valuable tips on how to present oneself effectively during the application process.

Next, applicants are required to record a video as part of their submission. It’s important to note that there are no open auditions conducted by the production team. Aspiring contestants are advised to create a dedicated audition tape rather than submit previous videos from platforms like TikTok that may include dancing or other unrelated content.

In his video, Jesse stresses the importance of avoiding beauty filters that could alter one’s appearance. He also recommends steering clear of sunglasses and ensuring good lighting to ensure that applicants are clearly visible to the casting team.

He also mentioned that many past applicants have filmed their auditions during quiet moments at work, which does not convey their true personalities. Jesse encourages not scripting the audition or using cue cards.

“The intention is to get a genuine sense of who you are. There’s a common misunderstanding that the video must be extravagant. I value a simple clip where you record, speak for 2-3 minutes, and submit it, as this allows me to see your true self,”stated Jesse.

Jesse additionally noted that swearing in the video is acceptable as long as the applicant remains genuine.

The third step involves saving both a picture and the audition video on the applicant’s device.

Finally, applicants must complete the online application where they can upload their video and photo. The form will require basic information, including name, address, and phone number.

The eligibility criteria are clearly defined in 13 points:

1. Applicants are responsible for their travel expenses if they are called for an interview. However, producers reserve the right to modify or change interview locations.
2. For final selection, candidates must be prepared to travel to Los Angeles for at least one week, which the production team will cover.
3. Applicants should be ready to stay in the Big Brother house for around 100 days with limited privacy shared with other housemates.
4. The Big Brother house is equipped with audio and video recording devices that monitor contestants constantly.
5. Any stipend or potential winnings will be disbursed only after the finale airs.
6. Applicants must be at least 21 years old.
7. Candidates must be U.S. citizens.
8. Individuals currently running for public office are not eligible.
9. Applicants must maintain excellent physical and mental health.
10. If selected, candidates are required to provide documents such as birth certificates, passports, or other identification alongside a Medical History Form.
11. Finalists need to fill out a Participant Form Package, which includes various affidavits, release forms, and waivers for themselves and their family members.
