Big Brother Season 26: Week 12 Power of Veto Winner Revealed
Big Brother 26 is nearing its exciting conclusion, with just four houseguests remaining in the competition. Some players have proven to be formidable contenders, but mid-game challenges for the coveted title of HoH (Head of Household) and the influential Power of Veto can quickly disrupt ongoing strategies.
The final houseguests in Big Brother 26 are Chelsie Baham, Cam Sullivan-Brown, Makensy Manbeck, and Rubina Bernabe, following Kimo Apaka’s eviction in episode 35 on October 3, 2024. While the competition for the Power of Veto in week 12 will be featured in the October 6 episode, live feeds indicate that Makensy has emerged as the winner.
The list of evicted houseguests continues to grow, now including Matt Hardeman, Lisa Weintraub, Kenney Kelley, Cedric Hodges, Brooklyn Rivera, Tucker Des Lauriers, Joseph Rodriguez, Quinn Martin, T’kor Clottey, and Kimo Apaka, all of whom are no longer in contention for the grand prize of $750,000.
Power of Veto win could secure Makensy’s place in Big Brother 26 final three
Winning the Power of Veto comes with the crucial task of protecting one houseguest from elimination within the Big Brother house. With Chelsie holding the HoH title, she has secured her spot in the top three. She nominated both Cam and Makensy for potential eviction, but if Makensy utilizes the Power of Veto, she can likely remove her name from danger.
Earlier, after the HoH competition, Cam expressed his frustration at losing another round this season during a conversation with Chelsie. She reassured him that he was her top choice and encouraged him to win the Power of Veto so they both could advance to the finals. Cam indicated that he is inclined to vote out Makensy, who has excelled in nearly all competitions she has participated in.
Makensy approached Chelsie to inquire about who she would save if she won the Veto. Chelsie confirmed that she would save Makensy, emphasizing that nominations are not as critical at this stage, as the Power of Veto can provide a path to safety. Additionally, Rubina voiced her aspiration for an all-female final three in this season of Big Brother.
If Makensy chooses to use her Power of Veto to save herself, Chelsie would need to nominate either Cam or Rubina as a replacement. Currently, Makensy has an impressive nine competition wins, including two HoH titles, five Power of Veto wins, and two BB A.I. Arena victories. In comparison, Chelsie has five overall wins, with four being HoH titles and one in the BB A.I. Arena.
Kimo claims Chelsie and Makensy are the “biggest threats”post-elimination
Kimo Apaka has been one of the few contestants consistently nominated since Week 7. Despite Cam attempting to advocate for him to Chelsie, he ultimately decided to follow through with the original plan to eliminate Kimo. Kimo was evicted by a 2-0 vote against Rubina during the double eviction and narrowly missed survival in the latest round.
In an interview with Gold Derby on October 4, 2024, Kimo stated that he would have placed either Chelsie or Makensy on the nomination block, as he aimed to advance to the finals alongside Cam.
“Chelsie and Makensy are the biggest threats in the game and exceptional competitors. The Veto situation has always been a concern because it holds significant power in the game,” Kimo mentioned.
Kimo elaborated that he attempted to have discussions with both Cam and Chelsie, as he maintained positive rapport with both, but ultimately could not sway them, leading to his exit.
The next episode of Big Brother 26 (Episode 36) is set to air on October 6, 2024, at 9:00 pm ET on CBS.
