The current season of Big Brother, season 26, has been full of unexpected twists including evictions, hidden alliances, and shocking betrayals. As it stands, only seven contestants are left in the house, competing for the ultimate prize: Angela Murray, Cam Sullivan-Brown, Chelsie Baham, Kimo Apaka, Leah Peters, Makensy Manbeck, and Rubina Bernabe.
Episode 32 premiered exclusively on CBS on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at 9:30 pm ET/PT. In this latest episode, the Power of Veto (PoV) competition determined which of the nominees, Kimo or Angela, would potentially be replaced. The newly crowned Head of Household (HoH), Makensy Manbeck, had initially nominated Apaka and Murray.
The winner of the PoV had significant power to alter the lineup of nominees for eviction. To the surprise of viewers, Makensy emerged as the Big Brother PoV winner and chose to nominate Leah after taking Kimo off the block. This left Angela and Leah as the two contestants facing possible eviction.
The synopsis for Big Brother season 26, episode 32 reads:
“The houseguests compete to win the power of veto; during the veto meeting, the winner of the competition can keep nominations the same or save someone from eviction for the week.”
Big Brother season 26, episode 32 recap: Makensy completes task in 9 minutes and 12 seconds during PoV competition
In the Power of Veto competition for Big Brother season 26, episode 32, contestants Cam, Leah, Chelsea, and Makensy participated. The players were tasked with interpreting the language of various animals and translating their sounds using a soundboard. Leah found herself confused during the game, while Chelsie struggled to find a clue for too long.
Both Cam and Kimo, alongside Angela, also provided incorrect answers. Therefore, Makensy was declared the winner of the PoV competition, completing the challenge in just 9 minutes and 12 seconds.
Later in the episode, HoH Makensy announced that Leah would replace Kimo as a nominee during the veto meeting. This decision surprised many since Makensy had initially targeted Angela, hoping that Leah would show more loyalty to her. Leah, for her part, expressed concern that Chelsie’s previous comments might sway Makensy’s choices since Chelsie wanted Leah on the block.
Makensy articulated that she had to make this difficult decision due to the game’s dynamics and emphasized, “it’s nothing personal.”Maintaining her alliance with Chelsie was crucial, especially since Leah might have posed a threat. Leah regretted her decision to break up the trio alliance when she was HoH and acknowledged she should have targeted Chelsie instead.
Although Kimo was removed from the block, he began plotting Makensy’s potential eviction from Big Brother season 26, believing she posed a real threat to win the game. The next episode will clarify how the majority of houseguests will vote when it comes to evicting either Angela or Leah.
Episode 33 is set to air on September 26, 2024, and will reveal which contestant will be voted out of the BB house. Furthermore, a new HoH will be introduced, as detailed in the episode synopsis:
“Following a live vote, a houseguest is evicted and interviewed; remaining houseguests compete for power in the next head of household.”
