Big Brother Fans Call Out HoH Makensy for Not Targeting Chelsie: “Use Your Brain”
Big Brother Season 26 is nearing its finale, with week 10 kicking off with episode 31, which aired on September 22. In this episode, Makensy won the coveted ‘Head of Household’ (HoH) title after triumphing in a competition that involved stacking blocks resembling candy.
However, Makensy faced a tough decision when it came to choosing her nominees for the week. She frequently considered nominating Angela as she aimed to dismantle the Leah-Angela alliance. Furthermore, her animosity towards Angela stemmed from the fact that Angela had evicted her ally, Matt, in the first week after winning HoH.
For her second nominee, Makensy contemplated targeting the second alliance of Kimo and Rubina. Leah attempted to sway her into nominating Chelsie instead, arguing that Chelsie was playing both sides and might turn against either herself or Makensy when the moment arose.
On the flip side, Chelsie urged Makensy to see Leah as a threat due to Leah’s strong bond with Angela and her likelihood of nominating Chelsie if she were to win HoH in the future. This persuaded Makensy, who began to reconsider Leah as a potential nominee. Fans of Big Brother took to X to voice their frustrations over Makensy’s choices as the HoH.
“If Mj knows Chelsie/Cam in a duo, wouldn’t it be smarter to get one of them out? like baby, pls use your brain,”a fan wrote.
“Leah telling Makensy that Chelsie manipulated her hoh & is now targeting her. . MAKENSY OPEN UR EYES,”wrote another fan.
“Poor Makensy I don’t think her frontal lobe is fully developed. Because if it was she would see how much Chelsie is gaming in her face and trying to cover her own *ss,”a third one commented.
“Makensy: If I nominate Leah and she’s evicted, I’ll lose her jury vote. NEWSFLASH: You’ll lose ALL the jury votes if you get to the end against Chelsie,”another fan wrote.
Some Big Brother enthusiasts labeled Chelsie as the “puppet master,”suggesting that she was guiding Makensy to target Leah purely because Leah posed a threat to Chelsie, not to Makensy.
“I will never hate a player capable of convincing another player to do the worst move possible for that 2nd player’s own game. I live for a good puppet master,”said one person.
“If Makensy allows Chelsie to convince her to get Leah out this week she does not deserve to win because that move makes NO SENSE for her,”an X user commented.
“Chelsie is coaching Makensy on what to say when she nominates a person that will never nominate her but will nominate Chelsie the first chance she gets….this is why I watch this show,”another user said.
“M*kensy targeting the two people she could have used to form a new majority…,”chimed in a third one.
Makensy’s Power of Veto in Week 10 of Big Brother Season 26
The live feeds section of Big Brother on Paramount+ revealed that Makensy also clinched the Power of Veto in week 10. It appears likely that she will refrain from using it since her nominees, Angela and Kimo, were chosen to disrupt an existing alliance.
Nonetheless, she might change her mind if Leah or Chelsie can convince her to shift her nominations. During the latest episode, Leah reportedly overheard Kimo, Rubina, and Chelsie engaged in hushed conversation by the poolside. Upon Leah’s entrance, they quickly altered their topic. Makensy speculated that they might have been discussing Angela, Leah’s close ally. If Makensy’s assumption holds, the trio could collaborate to evict Angela, while Leah may persuade Cam and Makensy to eye Kimo instead.
