Big Brother 26 didn’t disappoint with its emotional twists in episode 34, which aired after a delay on September 30 at 10:30 pm ET on CBS due to the premiere of The Summit. The reality show started with 16 contestants, and now only five houseguests remain in the Big Brother house after a series of HoH and PoV competitions and eliminations.
The houseguests eliminated so far include Matt Hardeman, Lisa Weintraub, Kenney Kelley, Cedric Hodges, Brooklyn Rivera, Tucker Des Lauriers, Joseph Rodriguez, Quinn Martin, and T’kor Clottey. The final five contenders vying for the $750,000 grand prize are Cam Sullivan-Brown, Chelsie Baham, Kimo Apaka, Makensy Manbeck, and Rubina Bernabe.
Last week featured a double eviction resulting from Ainsley’s manipulations, causing Leah Peters and Angela Murray to exit the Big Brother house. This week, the five remaining houseguests participated in the crucial HoH competition, essential for forging new alliances and granting the power to nominate two players for elimination.
Big Brother 26 Episode 34: What Happened?
The episode kicked off with a flashback to Chelsie’s triumph as Head of Household the previous week, showcasing her celebration with Cam after successfully executing their plan to target Angela. Chelsie had initially thought that Angela would be more dangerous in the competition against Kimo and Rubina and aimed to eliminate her first.
Later on, Kimo won the Power of Veto, saving himself, while Chelsie nominated Rubina in his place. Consequently, Angela was eliminated right after Leah. The episode then turned its focus to the remaining four houseguests vying for the next HoH position. They were challenged to use oversized tweezers to reconstruct a small puzzle. While Rubina and Cam struggled, Makensy took an early lead.
Just as Makensy was about to complete her puzzle, it fell apart. Nevertheless, she recovered quickly and finished the puzzle first, marking her second HoH win on Big Brother, much to the disappointment of Rubina and Kimo, who found themselves in a precarious position.
Chelsie congratulated Makensy privately, and the two agreed to work towards a final two alliance, wary of other houseguests. Chelsie expressed her belief that Cam was favored by the jurors, thanks to his amicable reputation and lack of controversial decisions regarding eliminations.
Rubina also had a heart-to-heart with Makensy, emphasizing their positive game relationship. She implored Makensy not to nominate her, but Makensy maintained that her decision was already made concerning Rubina and Kimo. Nonetheless, Makensy hinted at a potential future alliance among the female houseguests, not wanting Rubina to leave before the final three.
Before departing, Rubina disclosed to Makensy that Chelsie was planning to eliminate her, labeling Makensy as a competitive threat for her multiple wins. This confrontation led Makensy to question Chelsie, who explained that she was merely testing Rubina, which relieved Makensy as she chose to believe Chelsie’s account.
Kimo suggested to Cam that as the last two men in the house, they should form an alliance. However, Cam did not reciprocate and remained strategically reserved, wanting to present a case to vote against Kimo in the nominations. During the nominations ceremony, Makensy decided to nominate Kimo and Rubina, explaining that every houseguest deserved a shot at the win and it was a difficult decision.
