Big Bang to Make Full Group Comeback at 2024 MAMA Awards – KPOP Fans Excited!

On October 5, 2024, the Korean media outlet News 1 reported that Big Bang’s G-Dragon, Taeyang, and Daesung are currently in talks to take the stage together at the 2024 MAMA Awards. If these discussions lead to confirmation, it will be their first complete group performance in almost nine years.

The K-pop fandom erupted with excitement upon hearing the news, with many taking to social media to share their joy. One fan expressed their enthusiasm on X, eagerly anticipating the upcoming performance.

“KPOP IS BACK IM TELLING YOU!”

Big Bang last appeared as a full group during the 2015 MAMA Awards. While they clinched the Best Vocal Performance Group award in 2022 for their track Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter, they did not perform at that event.

In September, G-Dragon, Taeyang, and Daesung surprised fans with an appearance at Taeyang’s solo concert. As a result, anticipation is building for what could be another monumental performance at this year’s MAMA Awards. Fans took to social media to share their thoughts and gleeful expectations:

“Just letting y’all know that the last time BIGBANG were at MAMA, it recorded the highest ratings ever. Their performance was legendary, even named a ‘K-pop concert’ by Mnet!😭 And they took home multiple daesangs.”a fan commented on the platform.

“That kind of news makes your day! BIGBANG at the 2024 MAMA Awards? Count me in! 🎉 Their stages are always epic.”another fan chimed in.

“If this happens… MAMA ratings will soar📈. Everyone in Korea will be tuned in. We NEED this to happen! Chop chop GDragon, Taeyang & Daesung. #BIGBANG👑”this fan demanded.

However, some fans remain doubtful about the news, insisting they won’t believe it until there’s an official confirmation.

Questions have even been raised about whether BIGBANG is aware of these discussions.

“I’m not believing anything until we hear it directly from the Bangs. I actually need to hear it from Dae or Bae, because the third one promised me a 2023 comeback and bunny-jumped off the screen. I’m still waiting.”one fan shared.

“Say something @IBGDRGN? Are you aware of this?”another fan questioned.

“Meanwhile, Big Bang is like: ‘We’re going to perform at MAMA??’”a fan humorously remarked.

One fan even jokingly expressed their skepticism while wishing for the group to deliver another cheeky diss:

“If this is true and if Big Bang is aware 😆, I wanna hear them diss MAMA again 🤣.”
