“Benzino Proposes to End Beef with Eminem as Fans React on Social Media

Benzino has been making headlines on social media recently after a video featuring him went viral. The rapper openly discussed his ongoing feud with Eminem, expressing his willingness to put their issues behind them. This news follows Eminem’s announcement in the music video for his single “Temporary,”released on October 3, 2024, revealing that his daughter, Hailie Jade Mathers, is expecting a child.

A preview of Benzino’s recent video, which was initially shared by the television personality on Instagram on October 5, was featured by The Jasmine Brand. In the clip, the Soul Train star urged Eminem that it’s time for both of them to start enjoying their lives. He remarked:

“I truly want to congratulate him and his daughter on becoming a grandfather. I’m not one yet. I’m sure that day will come, and I’ll be proud just like he is.”

“The irony is that even though he said nobody wants to hear their grandpa rap, I still want to send congratulations to Eminem and his daughter Hailie on the news that she’s about to give birth and he’s about to be a granddad.”

In response, social media users flooded The Jasmine Brand’s Instagram post with comments, many focusing on the conflict between Raymond and Eminem. Several commenters expressed surprise that the two were even in a feud, with one user stating:

“This beef kinda one-sided, my guy. Em ain’t thinking about you.”

Benzino Previously Expressed a Desire to End the Feud with Eminem

The conflict traces back to 2002, during the release of Eminem’s album “The Eminem Show.”Despite the project earning four mics from The Source magazine, Eminem voiced his discontent, suggesting that Benzino, co-founder of the outlet, would never award five mics due to racial bias.

Eminem repeatedly took aim at The Source magazine, and when Benzino attempted to engage him backstage at a concert in Puerto Rico, Eminem completely ignored him.

Later, Benzino released a single titled “Pull Your Skirt Up,”which included pointed lyrics aimed at Eminem. He also critiqued the rating of Eminem’s album, rapping:

“You was unsigned hype before you ever met Dre/ I birthed your little career, now you owe your life to Ray.”

Following the release of another track from Benzino titled “I Don’t Wanna,”Eminem retaliated with his singles, including “Invasion,””The Sauce,”and “Nail in the Coffin.”Benzino responded with tracks like “Better Lose Yourself,”which garnered criticism from Eminem’s fanbase.

In February of this year, Benzino discussed the feud on the Drink Champs podcast, stating:

“Eminem ain’t no bad person. He belongs in Hip Hop. It’s a big racist problem in America right now, and Eminem could probably stop half of it. I don’t have nothing against Eminem. That n*gga can rap. But I care about us more.”

While Benzino has congratulated Eminem on the exciting news regarding his daughter, Eminem has yet to respond publicly to these sentiments.
