Benchmark Leak Reveals Galaxy S25 Edge Performance with Overclocked Snapdragon 8 Elite in Multi-Core Tests

Recent benchmarking results for Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Edge indicate significant enhancements in the performance of its Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. Initially, the chipset underwhelmed in multi-core performance, appearing to lag behind more recent competitors. However, fresh tests have revealed that the Galaxy S25 Edge can now compete effectively within its category.

Notable Performance Revamp: Galaxy S25 Edge Multi-Core Scores Soar by 21.6%

According to newly released findings on Geekbench 6, dated February 11, the Galaxy S25 Edge—identified by model number SM-S937B—achieved an impressive multi-core score of 8, 416. This marks a substantial growth of over 21% compared to previous benchmarks. Conversely, the device’s single-core performance saw a decline, recording a score of 2, 806, down from the previously documented 3, 005. This discrepancy raises the possibility that earlier tests might not have fully optimized the Snapdragon 8 Elite’s capabilities.

What stands out even more is that Samsung opted for an overclocked version of the Snapdragon 8 Elite, featuring performance cores running at 4.47GHz instead of the standard 4.32GHz. Given the Galaxy S25 Edge’s sleek design, the company could have easily chosen to deploy the standard version or even a 7-core model to cut costs. However, Samsung appears committed to delivering a standout experience for users, ensuring that buyers feel they are investing in a top-tier flagship device.

Galaxy S25 Edge Benchmark Results

In terms of specifications, the Galaxy S25 Edge offers 12GB of RAM, which Samsung has standardized across all four upcoming models in this line. These enhanced benchmark results signal that the launch of the Galaxy S25 Edge is drawing near, with expectations for an official unveiling in April. While these metrics are promising, further assessments on the device’s performance in challenging environments—such as hot and humid climates—will be crucial. We will continue to monitor developments closely.
