Beef Season 2 Cast Expands with Four Major Stars: Everything You Need to Know
The highly anticipated second season of Beef is set to make its comeback with the addition of four new cast members. On October 23, 2024, Netflix revealed that joining the ensemble are Oscar Isaac, Carey Mulligan, Charles Melton, and Cailee Spaeny. The first season revolved around a road rage confrontation between Steven Yeun and Ali Wong.
This series received positive accolades at the Emmys, securing eight awards, and now it is ready to take a new direction in its upcoming season. As stated in the official logline, Season 2 will explore the narrative of a young married couple who incidentally witness a fierce altercation between their employer and his spouse.
This pivotal moment triggers a chain of manipulative actions within the privileged environment of a country club and its Korean billionaire proprietor. The forthcoming season is set to comprise eight episodes, each lasting approximately 30 minutes, with Lee Sung Jin returning as both creator and showrunner.
Meet the New Cast Members of Beef Season 2
Oscar Isaac
Joining the cast of Beef Season 2 is Oscar Isaac, an actor renowned for his diverse performances across both film and television. Born in Guatemala City on March 9, 1979, he moved to the United States as a child. He received significant acclaim for his role as Llewyn Davis in the Coen Brothers’ film Inside Llewyn Davis (2013), which earned him a Golden Globe nomination.
Isaac is also widely recognized for his portrayal of Poe Dameron in the Star Wars sequel trilogy (2015-2019). His extensive filmography includes titles such as A Most Violent Year (2014), Ex Machina (2015), and Dune (2021). Furthermore, he starred in the HBO miniseries Show Me a Hero (2015), earning another Golden Globe win.
His recent projects include Moon Knight (2022) and Hand of Dante (2024), where he shared the screen with Gerald Butler, Al Pacino, Jason Momoa, and Gal Gadot. He is also slated to lend his voice to the upcoming animation The King of Kings.
Carey Mulligan
Carey Mulligan will be co-starring with Oscar Isaac in Beef Season 2. A distinguished actress with extensive experience in film and theater, she was born in London on May 28, 1985. Her breakout role in An Education (2009) earned her an Academy Award nomination for Best Actress.
She has since appeared in critically acclaimed films such as Never Let Me Go (2010), Drive (2011), and Promising Young Woman (2020), the latter of which secured her another Oscar nomination for her remarkable performance in this dark comedy-thriller. Additionally, she has graced the theater stage in productions like The Seagull and Skylight.

Charles Melton
Another exciting addition to the Beef Season 2 cast is Charles Melton, who gained fame for his role as Reggie Mantle in the television series Riverdale. Born on January 1, 1991, in Juneau, Alaska, Melton has appeared in notable films like The Sun Is Also a Star and May December, released in 2019 and 2023, respectively.
His performance in May December garnered him a Golden Globe nomination. His other notable works include Bad Boys for Life, Bad Boys: Ride or Die, Heart of Champions, Secret Headquarters, American Horror Story, History of the World Part II, and Mainstream.
Cailee Spaeny
Cailee Spaeny is also a new addition to the cast for Beef Season 2. Born on July 24, 1997, in Springfield, Missouri, she has starred in several films including Pacific Rim Uprising (2018), Alien: Romulus (2024), Civil War (2023), and Priscilla (2023), where she takes on the title role of Priscilla Presley. This biographical film, directed by Sofia Coppola, tells the life story of Priscilla Presley.
Spaeny’s filmography also includes roles in On the Basis of Sex, Bad Times at the El Royale, The Craft: Legacy, Vice, Wake up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery, How it Ends, Unlimited World, and Counting to 1000.
