Becoming a PlantSim in The Sims 4: Enchanted by Nature Guide

PlantSims hold a cherished place in the history of The Sims franchise, standing out as a unique life state that doesn’t conform to common fantasy archetypes. Their presence is consistently anticipated with excitement, especially in new game expansions. Although they have existed in The Sims 4 for several years, the recent Enchanted by Nature expansion has revitalized these botanical beings with a much-needed update.

Whether you are revisiting the rules for becoming a PlantSim or are discovering these verdant characters for the first time, this guide will provide detailed insights on how to transform into a PlantSim in The Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature.

Transforming Into a PlantSim in The Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature

Unlike other occult characters such as fairies, PlantSims cannot be directly created in the Create a Sim (CAS) menu. Instead, players must engage with certain gameplay elements or use cheats to achieve this life state. It’s important to note that becoming a PlantSim remains a temporary condition, despite the introduction of new abilities.

Returning players will recognize that the traditional method for transforming into a PlantSim involves the consumption of a Forbidden Fruit. This remains unchanged in the Enchanted by Nature expansion; however, the means of obtaining this fruit have been enhanced, making the process less cumbersome.

In your journey through the new world of Innisgreen, you’ll encounter PlantSims among the town’s NPCs. These green-skinned characters are particularly prevalent in the Everdew neighbourhood, where magical Sims often convene.

If you prefer a faster route to your transformation, visit Sprucederry Grove. There, interact with the Green Man statue—a mystical tree sculpture—to summon the elusive Spruce Almighty. This method guarantees an interaction with a PlantSim.

Once you have connected with a PlantSim, you can request a Forbidden Fruit directly. While many PlantSims may be hesitant to part with their precious resources, they are generally obliging when asked nicely, especially Spruce Almighty. Simply select the Forbidden Fruit from your Sim’s inventory and choose “eat”to undergo your transformation.

Though the Enchanted by Nature expansion brings exciting new powers to PlantSims, their status remains temporary. Fortunately, players can leverage the new Refresh Life-Force ability, allowing them to reset the countdown to revert back to their ordinary Sim forms. Additionally, you can always consume another Forbidden Fruit if you wish to remain a PlantSim.

The cosmetic enhancements introduced in this pack uplift PlantSims from their previous, monotonous aesthetics. Players now have the freedom to modify hairstyles and accessories of their PlantSims, which will reflect in the game even while under the PlantSim status. However, be advised that such changes won’t show in CAS, but will appear once you return to Live Mode.

Reversing the PlantSim Status in The Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature

Here lies both good and bad news: despite the updates offered in the Enchanted by Nature expansion, being a PlantSim is still a time-limited experience. There is currently no in-game method to permanently remove this status without the aid of cheats.

To revert back to normal, simply allow five in-game days to pass following the consumption of the Forbidden Fruit. During this time, players seeking enhanced gameplay can explore other supernatural aspects with our savvy cheat guides for The Sims 4 Vampires, Werewolves, and Realm of Magic.
