Becky Lynch opens up about the lowest moment of her WWE career at WrestleMania
As NXT Stand & Deliver 2024 and WrestleMania XL approach, WWE is preparing for its most significant week of the year. These events are expected to have a significant impact on the direction of the promotion for the next few months. Many notable wrestlers, such as Becky Lynch, will be competing at The Show of Shows. Recently, The Man shared her thoughts on the lowest point of her WrestleMania journey.
A couple of years back, Becky Lynch made her debut on WWE’s primary roster as The Man and made a heel turn upon her arrival on the blue brand. She quickly became a major attraction for the company and was the main event at The Showcase of The Immortals in 2019, facing off against Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey.
Despite having a Triple Threat Match the following year, Becky was disappointed to find herself on the pre-show. The 34th edition of WrestleMania was held in New Orleans, Louisiana, where Lynch was featured in a Women’s Battle Royal during the pre-show. In an interview on Shak Wrestling of CBS Sports, Lynch shared that her pre-show match at ‘Mania 34 was her lowest moment on the biggest stage of the wrestling world.
“I went from being on the pre-show to being in the main event of WrestleMania [35]. So, I wasn’t even on the WrestleMania card for WrestleMania 34, you know. So, probably that, like I do remember just trying to make the most of it and trying to talk myself out of it, no, it’s all fine… But you want to be on the main card; you want to be the main event; you want to be doing the big things; you don’t want to just be on the pre-show where the audience is still filing in, and there’s where I was,”she said. Becky Lynch criticizes the execution of a popular WWE segment
The beginning of the end of the Divas Era coincided with the main roster debuts of Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, and Sasha Banks, who all entered the WWE at the same time. These three women were integral in spearheading the Women’s Revolution after their first appearances.
Despite the dominance of the three stars and their impact on the women’s division, The Man was dissatisfied with the booking decisions made by the previous regime and the reasoning behind them. Their influence continued to shape the division for years to come.
During an interview with WrestlingNewsCo’s Steve Fall, Becky Lynch expressed her disappointment with the execution of the Women’s Revolution segment and raised concerns about the decision-making process at the time. Additionally, she mentioned that WWE’s creative team currently only has one female member.
At WrestleMania XL, Becky Lynch will face off against Rhea Ripley in a highly anticipated match for the Women’s World Championship. Will The Man emerge victorious and add another title to her collection? We’ll have to wait and see.
