Becky Lynch crashes interview; starts fight with Rhea Ripley ahead of WWE RAW

Becky Lynch interrupted Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley’s interview earlier today and instigated a brawl in anticipation of tonight’s airing of WWE RAW.

The Man emerged victorious in the Women’s Elimination Chamber match last month, securing a chance to face Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania XL this weekend. The tension between these two WWE Superstars has escalated on recent episodes of WWE RAW, with Ripley making a personal jab at Lynch’s daughter on live television.

During her appearance on The MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani, Rhea Ripley was unexpectedly confronted by Becky Lynch. Lynch had called in from outside the New York building where the interview was taking place and managed to enter before security intervened and stopped their altercation. Rhea Ripley explains her controversial reference to Becky Lynch’s daughter on WWE RAW

Rhea Ripley elevated the intensity when she declared that after defeating The Man at WrestleMania, Becky Lynch’s daughter would refer to her as “Mami”.

While speaking on The MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani, Ripley asserted that she has consistently shown respect towards The Man. Helwani noted that she did make a reference to Lynch’s daughter on WWE RAW, which could be perceived as disrespectful by many.

“I understand. But at the end of the day, I feel like I just wasn’t getting through to her [Becky Lynch]. Like I said, I wanted her attention. It is easy to get everyone else’s attention, I wanted her attention. So what is the best way to get her attention? I mean, there is no better way than bringing up her daughter and I’m done being respectful at this point. I really am, because I want to see that fighting Becky that I know is there deep down inside. I want her to realize that I could have done all of these things and I chose not to. But, if driven to that point, I will,”she said.
