PlatinumGames Celebrates 15 Years of Bayonetta
PlatinumGames has officially marked the upcoming 15th anniversary of Bayonetta with the launch of a dedicated webpage on its official site. This webpage is accessible in both Japanese and English, making it easy for fans around the globe to partake in the celebrations.
A Timely Celebration
Although Sega originally released Bayonetta on the PS3 and Xbox 360 in Japan in October 2009, PlatinumGames has chosen January 2025 for its anniversary festivities. This timing is intentional, as it aligns with the game’s global releases: January 5, 2010, in North America, January 7, 2010, in Australia, and January 8, 2010, in Europe.
Monthly Surprises for Fans
The newly launched webpage aims to engage fans by featuring exclusive smartphone wallpapers each month, complete with an optional calendar. For January 2025, fans can look forward to a striking wallpaper showcasing Bayonetta and Jeanne, adorned in traditional Japanese attire, celebrating the New Year festival.
Exclusive Merchandise Announced
In addition to the wallpapers, PlatinumGames has unveiled a special music box designed by Wayo Records, set to release in Q1 2025. Priced at €220.00, the music box is a meticulous tribute to the game, modeled after Bayonetta’s Super Mirror, and will play Masami Ueda’s iconic “Theme of Bayonetta – Mysterious Destiny” for 30 seconds with ten loops.
Platforms To Experience Bayonetta
Fans eager to revisit the original Bayonetta can find it available across multiple platforms, including the PS3, Xbox 360, Switch, PS4, Xbox One, Wii U, and PC worldwide, making it more accessible than ever for both new players and long-time fans.
