Bayley breaks silence after attacking IYO SKY during her interview
This week on WWE SmackDown, the ongoing feud between Bayley and IYO WeY escalated when The Role Model launched a surprise attack on WeY during her interview.
At WrestleMania 40, Bayley will compete against IYO for the Women’s Championship. She earned this opportunity after winning the Women’s Royal Rumble Match earlier this year and confronting WeY following the betrayal of Damage CTRL.
During the most recent episode of WWE SmackDown, an interview with The Genius of the Sky was broadcasted by the company. Although it appeared that things were going well for the Damage CTRL member, The Role Model interrupted the interview and attacked her.
The Grand Slam Champion then proceeded to use X/Twitter to caution her ex-stablemate and build excitement for their upcoming showdown at The Grandest Stage of Them All.
“Bayley vs Iyo Sky. First time ever. 1 week away. #WrestleMania,”wrote Bayley.

Dutch Mantell Criticizes Build-Up to Bayley vs. IYO WeY Match
Despite his years in wrestling, Dutch Mantell has made it clear that he is not impressed with the build-up for the Bayley vs. IYO WeY match.
The veteran proposed that the plot could have been much more direct.
“Well, like Sid said, hell! They lost me about three weeks ago. I knew what they were shooting for, but I said, ‘Wait a minute; they are going all around instead of zeroing in on it.’ It’s the whole group, and that’s completely lost me,”said Mantell.
Bayley and WeY, along with Dakota Kai, were the founding members of the Damage CTRL faction. They made their debut at the 2022 SummerSlam Premium Live Event by confronting Bianca Belair as a trio.
In the past two years, WeY and Kai earned the Women’s Tag Team Championship, and later with the help of Bayley, WeY won the WWE Women’s Championship at SummerSlam last year.
Regrettably, the outcome of Damage CTRL was not what The Role Model had hoped for. Currently, the group comprises of four members, which includes The Kabuki Warriors.
