BandMan Kevo responds as rapper’s 15-year-old son passes away

On March 31, 2024, Chicago rapper BandMan Kevo shared the heartbreaking news that his 15-year-old son had been fatally shot in Kalamazoo, Michigan. He used his official Instagram account to make the announcement, and also reached out to his followers for help.

In an Instagram story, the 34-year-old rapper shared a photo of his child and wrote, “rest in power.”He also mentioned that he was unable to reach his son’s mother in another story.

The mother’s identity has yet to be revealed at the time of writing this article.

On April 1, Kevo also utilized X to publish a tribute for his son.

BandMan Kevo, whose birth name is Kevin Ford, has gained a considerable following of over three million on Instagram. BandMan Kevo Addresses Child Support Payment for Kevian

Bandman Kevo revealed to The Shade Room that his relationship with his son was turbulent, claiming that the child’s mother intentionally kept him out of their lives and allegedly withheld the child support payments he made.

In a previous interview, Kevo revealed that he has six children with four different women. He also shared that he receives half of the income earned by Dyme Kevo, one of his former partners. Kevo further disclosed that he and Dyme had signed a contract to protect his name in case of a potential breakup and her attempt to profit from it.

“I forgot what I wrote up, I think I get half of whatever income she get. So it’ll literally be anything and everything.”

Afterwards, Kevo added:

“‘Cause girls got some emotions and stuff like that, they fall in love. But at the same time we have to look past all of that because when all of the emotions on and they snap they dumb*ss back into reality and feel like, ‘ok I need to have somewhere to stay, I need a car to drive, I need money, I got this, I got kids.’”

BandMan Kevo elaborated that in the event of a breakup with a woman, if they ended things amicably, he would help her find a new partner who is financially stable. He added:

“People want to own things too much. You have a baby by a girl, you think you own her. It’s not really like that.”

The lead singer of Methods revealed in an interview with VladTV that he had only paid $900 in child support to his first child’s mother.
