Between rounds of Balatro, players can visit the shop to acquire valuable cards. Among these, Tarot Cards can provide a crucial advantage, especially during challenging runs. This guide will outline the functionality of Tarot Cards and provide a detailed list of every one available in Balatro.
Understanding Tarot Cards

In Balatro, Tarot Cards are special consumable cards that players can either purchase or find during gameplay. There are a total of 22 Tarot Cards, each uniquely numbered and associated with their respective arcana. Upon purchasing a card, it fills one of your two consumable slots. Most Tarot Cards enhance your existing deck, either by altering the suits of cards or applying effects that increase your chip earnings or multipliers. Some cards even offer new Jokers, consumables, or cash bonuses. Collecting all 22 Tarot Cards allows players to unlock the Cartomancy achievement and obtain the Cartomancer Joker.
Players can acquire Tarot Cards by purchasing Arcana Packs available between rounds. Opening these packs allows you to choose one Tarot Card from a selection. Notably, the Vagabond Joker generates a new Tarot Card each time a hand is played while you have $4 or less.
