Bailey Zimmerman Remembers His First Meeting with Post Malone: “He Found Me in My Tighty-Whities”

Bailey Zimmerman, the rising country music star, shared some amusing anecdotes about his initial encounter with Post Malone. During an appearance on Highway Mornings with Cody Alan in early October 2024, the 24-year-old artist opened up about his experiences in country music and teased some of his upcoming projects.

According to a report from Taste Of Country published on October 23, 2024, Zimmerman met the famed singer-rapper while donning nothing but his “tighty-whities.”

He recounted how bad weather led to a premature end of his set at the Stagecoach festival in April 2024. In a humorous twist, the singer of “Never Comin’ Home”decided to entertain the crowd by tossing his clothes into the audience before sprinting off stage in just his underwear.

Once backstage in his tour bus, Zimmerman relaxed with his crew until he suddenly spotted Post Malone. Eager to make a connection, he approached Post for an introduction.

He remarked on the puzzled expression on Malone’s face as he soon recognized the awkward situation. During his chat with host Cody Alan, Zimmerman expressed his embarrassment and quickly apologized to Post before heading back to his bus.

Zimmerman humorously summarized the embarrassing moment by saying:

“Dude, Post Malone just met me in my tighty-whities. What a story!”

In related news, on October 22, 2024, Post Malone electrified the audience at The Woodlands with a performance that kicked off with his popular tracks, “Wrong Ones”and “Finer Things,”both from his latest album, F-1 Trillion.

As reported by the Houston Press on October 23, 2024, the artist, who fully embraced a new direction in country music with his debut country album released in August 2024, was seen sporting jeans and a Bud Light T-shirt.

Post Malone also took a moment to express his joy at being back in Texas, performing a mixture of new songs alongside fan-favorites like “Circles”and “Chemical,”highlighted by the distinct sound of slide guitar for a country flair.

Throughout his set, he introduced his band, which featured a fiddle player and a slide guitarist, and even performed a cover of Toby Keith’s “Wish I Didn’t Know,”which included the heartfelt lyrics:

“I wish I didn’t know now what I didn’t know then/ I wish I could start this whole thing over again/ I’m not sayin’ that you, could ever be true/ I just don’t want to know how it ends/ You’d still have my heart in the palm of your hand/ I’d still look like a fool in front of your friends/ Yeah, I wish somehow, I didn’t know now/ What I didn’t know then.”

Notably, Post invited a young fan named Courtney to join him onstage to play acoustic guitar for “Stay,”before delivering a poignant performance of “I Fall Apart,”where he addressed the audience:

“I hate to keep beating you guys up with sad songs, but I need to sing this one!”

As he concluded his set, Post Malone shared some uplifting messages with his fans:

“Before I leave, I just want to say… You are loved, don’t give up! If you think that you are a loser, well that makes two of us! Keep going!”

He concluded the night with hits like “Sunflower,””Rockstar,”and “Congratulations.”
