“With Caitlin and Rosa’s help, Yancy devises a new strategy to bring Nick and Eve back to Miami.”

Who are the assailants attacking Yancy in episode 8 of Bad Monkey?

Since the series began, Yancy has maintained a strong dislike for his neighbor. After returning home in episode 7, he issues a threat to his neighbor, suggesting he could destroy his real estate business through legal actions and complaints. Earlier, Yancy had expressed his anger by throwing the neighbor’s phone into the river.

The men who assault Yancy and his guests in this episode are identified as Pestov and associates of the Russian Mafia. Upon realizing that the target is Andrew Yancy, Pestov halts the gunfire and apologizes to Yancy for the chaos.

Pestov reveals to Yancy in episode 8 of Bad Monkey that Yancy’s neighbor hired the assassins with the intent to kill him. However, Pestov was initially unaware that Yancy was the intended victim, prompting him to call off the attack as soon as he recognized Yancy.

Moreover, Pestov clarifies Yancy’s mistaken belief that Nick and Eve were the ones who ordered the hit. After a quick chat with Pestov earlier in the episode, Yancy retaliates by firing shots outside the neighbor’s window to express his anger after discovering the neighbor’s conspiracy against him.

Bonnie becomes a hero for a day

In the previous episode of Bad Monkey, Bonnie was arrested due to past mistakes related to Cody. However, this episode reveals that the charges against her have been dropped. The authorities, along with Cody’s parents, seem indifferent to pursuing her case, allowing her to regain her freedom.

Yearning for redemption, Bonnie returns to Miami where she purchases gasoline cans and explodes her neighbor’s unsold yellow house. Although Yancy does not seem satisfied with Bonnie’s actions, she believes this could be her ticket to jail, as the police come to arrest her for arson. Overall, Bonnie wishes to cease her life on the run, and this time, she achieves her goal.

Later, the owner of the now-destroyed property approaches Sonny, imploring him not to press charges against Bonnie since arson isn’t covered by his insurance. However, when he tries to bribe Sonny with a small amount of money, Sonny feels disrespected and refuses.

Nonetheless, Bonnie might avoid jail if Sonny accepts a bribe and retracts the charges. Future episodes will delve deeper into Bonnie’s story, as the showrunners clearly plan to keep her in the spotlight.

Nick and Eve have been living carefreely on the island, enjoying fine wine and gourmet meals. In episode 8, they even acquire a new boat and invite Gracie and Egg to join them. However, their fraudulent lifestyle faces imminent peril, as Yancy, with the assistance of Rosa and Caitlin, orchestrates a plan to entice Nick and Eve back to Miami for their arrest.

As part of this scheme, Rosa, disguised as a friend of Caitlin, approaches Nick and Eve, feigning interest in purchasing property and convincing them to receive payment in cash. The catch: Nick and Eve must travel to Miami to collect the funds, which they willingly agree to.

By pretending to be aloof about Caitlin, Rosa successfully gains Eve’s trust, creating the illusion that she is unaware of Nick’s staged demise.

However, later on, Nick and Eve visit the same bar that Rosa and Yancy had previously been at. Rosa stands next to a Polaroid featuring Yancy, Rosa, and Claspers.

If Eve discovers that Rosa’s true purpose was to purchase property while aiming to trap them, Nick and Eve could once again evade Yancy’s plans and escape to an undisclosed island.

Viewers will have to eagerly await the next episodes of Bad Monkey to see what unfolds and whether fortune favors them, as the outcome now hinges on timing and sheer luck.
