Baby Kia: Real Name, Age, and Details About the Rapper as Mugshot Goes Viral After Recent Arrest

Rapper Baby Kia, whose real name is Khari Jahmill Hoard, has recently been apprehended in connection with a shooting incident involving another individual, Dedrick Henderson. The 19-year-old is facing charges related to disrupting the operations of public educational institutions.

The incident took place in the parking lot of Douglas County High School on October 11, 2024, coinciding with a festive pep rally for students. The police department immediately initiated an investigation. Baby Kia was arrested on October 21, while Henderson was taken into custody about five days later, on Saturday, October 26.

In the music scene, Kia is considered an emerging talent, known for popular tracks like “Special ED,””Get Jiggy,””Life Lesson,”and “Let’s Play a Game.”His engaging music and presence have earned him a significant following across various social media and streaming platforms.

As reported by the Douglas County Sentinel, Magistrate Judge Barbara Caldwell has set a bond of $2,000 for Kia, which comes with specific conditions, including mandatory participation in a Youth Against Violence program. Additionally, he is prohibited from performing at any schools in Douglas County.

A mugshot of Baby Kia, dressed in black, has circulated widely on social media. Details regarding his current detention location are still awaited.

In a video from jail, Baby Kia informed the magistrate that he was invited to the school by DJ Lil Bankhead from V-103. He remarked that upon his arrival, a fight was occurring within the venue and recalled:

“I was doing some yelling. I tried to apologize.”

The school rally had a lineup of various artists, and during the altercation, Henderson allegedly discharged his weapon into the air from his vehicle. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in connection with this event.

Baby Kia’s Musical Journey

Khari Jahmill Hoard has been part of the rap scene for nearly a year. Originating from West Atlanta, he has released two EPs, “Kia World”and “Glahh Glahh Boom.”

Per his All Music biography, Kia’s music often encompasses themes of violence, heavily influenced by horror films. His lyrical content has attracted criticism, with many reviewers expressing concerns about the potential societal repercussions.

Conversely, Baby Kia’s supporters consistently defend him on social media, arguing that his work highlights the realities faced by individuals from marginalized communities.

His career began gaining momentum in 2023 when his hit single “Let’s Play a Game”exploded on TikTok, quickly becoming a trend and inspiring numerous user-created videos. The official music video on YouTube has amassed approximately 5 million views.

Kia’s first full-length album, “Hell Can’t Save You,”was launched in March 2024. Recently, he announced a concert in New Orleans via Instagram, slated for October 26, 2024.

Following this, Baby Kia released another album titled “I Pray You Die”on October 16, featuring a total of 13 tracks. He stays actively engaged with his audience on Instagram, where he boasts over 400,000 followers, sharing posts that show him at various venues and highlights from his performances.
