“Awwwww”: Kevin Durant runs out of comebacks after fan roasts Warriors move with Caitlin Clark win

After Caitlin Clark led Iowa to a decisive victory over LSU, Kevin Durant received criticism from a fan online. The fan mentioned Durant’s previous stint with the Golden State Warriors, which may have caught the former MVP off guard. Clark and the rest of the Hawkeyes will need to secure two more victories in order to claim the NCAA championship title.

Despite facing the defending champions LSU Tigers in a rematch of last year’s final, Clark led the Iowa Hawkeyes to a 94-87 victory with an impressive performance of 41 points, seven rebounds, and 12 assists. While LSU initially had the upper hand in the first half, Clark dominated the third quarter, propelling his team to a decisive win.

A fan of X, who was previously known on Twitter, called out Clark in an attempt to involve KD. The skilled shooting guard improved and came back to defeat the team that had defeated them the previous year, a feat that Durant did not achieve when he departed from the OKC Thunder in 2016.

“Caitlin lost to LSU, got in the lab and came back to smoke them. Why couldn’t you do that @KDTrey5?”the fan wrote.

Upon hearing the response, Kevin Durant was perplexed as to why his name was brought up after a fantastic game between Iowa and LSU.

“Awwwww Kenny…u still hurt?”Durant replied.

It is not unexpected for KD to reply, as he manages to stay connected online even though he is one of the busiest NBA players in the world. The fan’s statement held some truth, as Durant did indeed leave the OKC Thunder after the Golden State Warriors eliminated them in the Western Conference finals, having previously held a 3-1 series lead.

Despite his initial desire to come back stronger and challenge the Warriors, Durant ultimately decided to join Golden State through free agency and form a formidable team with Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green. He was able to redeem himself by leading the Warriors to three consecutive NBA Finals appearances and securing two championships in 2017 and 2018.

Caitlin Clark is currently in her last season with Iowa before moving on to either the WNBA or the Big3, as she was recently offered $5 million to play 10 games with Ice Cube’s league.

Before his college career concludes, Clark must secure two additional wins to solidify her reputation as one of the greatest players in the history of women’s collegiate basketball. She and Iowa made a strategic move by defeating and dethroning the LSU Tigers on Monday evening.

The highly anticipated Final Four game will take place on Friday at the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland, Ohio. The Iowa Hawkeyes will go up against the UConn Huskies, led by star player Paige Bueckers. This will be a rematch of their previous meeting during both players’ freshman year, where UConn emerged victorious with a score of 92-72.
